I arrived there with bus, the buses system in Turkey is one of the best in Asia and Europe. I recommend you do it!
I suppose that probably the best way is walking along its streets.

Take a taxi from the centre of the Otogar (11 mil TL)
Bus Konya - Nevsehir : 3 hr 1/2, 226 km, 10 mil TL = 6 euro)

The Konya tram system (LRT) is based on a nearly 20Km's long track laying between north and south directions .Another line is under construction for Meram district. It is the cheepest way (less than 1.-$)to discover the city and city life.

The Konya bus terminal is connected ewerywhere in Turkey and also connected to city center by tram.

There are 2 types of tickets blue one is discounted and pink one is adult fare. You can get the tickets from the kiosks or from the vessel directly.
rate:0,50TL for discounted 0,60TLfor adults

Konya has large public bus services which are serving to transport people everywhere in the city and in environmental areas.
There are two bus companies:
1.KBOI bus service of municipality
2.TOI municipality controlled private bus service.

Our stop in Konya was to visit the mausuleum of Mevlana. This is almost a pilgrimage for some people to visit here. Konya is quite a big city, but unfortunately we did not see much of it.
