On our way from Konya to Pamukkale we made a stop for a lunch somewhere (I don’t know the exact name of this place).

There are several inscriptions on my hidden pics, but they are in Turkish (“Kirazlibahche”).
It was rather large restaurant which could feed several buses of tourist in the moment and the meal was rather good!

    Cemo: Nothing but etli ekmek

by Gokcecicek Written Dec 28, 2006 106 reviews

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

It is a regular Konya restaurant. But the local people said it is the best etli ekmek (sort of turkish pizza with meat) in Konya. The taste was not bad. However the place is like a fastfood restaurant. Not suitable for a long lasting romantic dinner :)

    Favorite Dish: Etli ekmek

  • various: Doner Kebab

Doner Kebab is available everywhere in Konya, its always tasty, and very cheap. You can get a kebab and a drink for something like 1.50 Liras. The one shop we went to had really friendly guys working there, as you can see in the picture.

Favorite Dish: Doner, better than what we get in the UK, maybe because its the original in Turkey

Everywhere on the street: Sweets on the streets

    Antalya, bazar

My four sweethearts ate their desserts on the streets.

Turkish delight is the name of the sweets. You find them in different colours, different tastes but all of them are too sweet for me.
And you have to wash your hands afterwards.

Don't you think they love it?

no name known: Eat the iskander kebab

by chrisvandenbroucke Written Feb 9, 2004 1149 reviews

    Resto in Konya

A ordered a Turkish pizza (very thin but delicious accorting to PJ, the specialist)

The other ones had iskander kebab (with yoghurt), doner chicken and doner lamb.

With the cokes and tea, we only paid 12,5 mil TL (? 8) and had a much better diner than yetserday.
As always and everywhere, we were the only foreigners

Mevlana Rose Garden Restaurant: Great Turkish Cuisine

    by supercat74 Written Apr 14, 2003 17 reviews

I am not certain this is the name of the place, only what a friend told me. It is right behind the Mevlana museum and it is surronded by a garend with roses. When you arrive, you are escorted upstairs to a private room, where you take your shoes off, and sit on the floor to eat. Inside the room is also a low couch, and a bathroom.
All the food is Turkish (what else?!) and it is all devine!

Favorite Dish: Tunder Kabab is my husbands absolute favorite. It is mutton slow cooked in a hole in the ground. Absolutely wonderfuly tender and full of flavor! You also must drink Ayran! It is a great compliment to any spicy dish.
