Aigai (Nemrutkale), which was one of the 12 Aiol cities mentioned by Heroditus, is situated on a hill four-five kilometers to the south of Köseler Village. The history of the city, goes back to B.C.8th century according to the archeological data and historians. It was established in an area which was not sufficient enough for trade. As a consequence of the city's insufficient geographical and economical conditions, the city was unable to create a political power. There are the ruins of "Apollon Khrestenese" in the bed of Koca Dere, about 7-8 km south of Aigai. The city walls were built to match the geographical features of the area.
An Agora structure with a stoa on the facade and great supporting walls that carry this strucucture, the ruins of Bouleterion in the north of agora, the stadium with terraced walls in the south, the Theatre and the Temple of Demeter in the west and the ruins of a Peripteral temple are all stituated within the city walls.

At Sart on the Sart Cayi (Pactole River) are the ruins of ancient Sardis, which was the capital of the Lydian realm of Croesus. There are the remains of the Temple of Artemis and a restored gymnasium, which testify to the past splendor of this ancient city. The important 3rd century synagogue is certainly worth a visit.

Everybody thinks that tulips come from Holland. Actually, Tulips are native to Central Asia and Turkey. In the 16th Century they were brought to Holland from Turkey, and quickly became widely popular. Today Tulips are cultivated in Holland in great numbers and in huge fields. Dutch bulbs, including tulips and daffodils, are exported all around the world so people thinks that it's originated from there as well. In fact many cultivated varieties were widely grown in Turkey long before they were introduced to European gardens.
Manisa has a special tulip breed wich is called Manisa Tulip or Anemon. In the spring time it can be found at many places in Manisa, especially on the Spil Mountain.

Kybele is an internationally recognized goddess of Anatolian origin who is identified with various names in distinct countries and cultures. On the Manisa-Turgutlu route, approximately 7 km from Manisa and located at the northern foot of Mt. Spil near the Akpınar is a relief carved into the rock. This relief portraying Kybele - the mother of all life on Earth - is approximately 10 to 12 m above ground level. Due to the Hittite features of the hyroglyphs on the relief, it is believed that it dates back to the Hittite era.

Located within the borders of the Koseler Village within the jurisdiction area of the Manisa provincial center, Aigai is one of the twelve Aiol towns that Heredot speaks of. Though there has been no expedition yet, the ruins evidence that the town stretches back to the Pergamon Kingdom and was an important commercial center during the Roman reign. A portion of the rampart that surrounded the town is still intact. The agora, theater, stadium, parliament and temple ruins are fairly evident.
