If you want a really good laugh then come to this place when the belly dancing is on, but make sure you are totally pis#ed first hahaha, a bit like this.
Dress Code:
Go in with clothes and come out with very little hahaha.
This is Jimmy's restaurant, just off the beach at Bitez. They do a wicked sea bass, but the only reason i went to this restaurant is because they had a football match on ther large t.v. every night hahahahahahahaha. So lads if you want to watch the footy then head for Jimmy's
The hotel Ambrosia is the perfect place for a really good meal under the stars, they put on a great buffet with a large selection of mezzes and salads to start followed by fresh meats or fish, including Kebaps, and spicy Turkish meat balls. The dining area is almost on the beautiful beach of Bitez, and all this is open to non residents of the hotel. Price per person including occasional entertainment is 10 Euros, which is a bargain for what you get
OK, the place is a 4th century BC theatre - or at least what's left of it (quite a lot, actually).
We went to see a concert by Turkish star Sezen Aksu.
It was great. I didn't understand a word, but loved the singing and orchestrals.
I'd never been to something in a venue like that, and it was a lot of fun.
Tickets were ytl 100 for the best seats - about £45 - so not cheap!
Started about 9.30pm, and finished after midnight.
Highly recommended.
Dress Code:
It was hot - 30°c in early august - plus the amphitheatre faces south, so it gets the sun all day. That means the stones are giving off heat well after dark. Then of course its full of people...
Wear shorts and a t-shirt!
Take some water.
I've herd this show is something special, really funny and entertaining. Its a drag artist show impesonating all the latest stars, don't miss this one as i did
If you get the chance to photograph bitez from the hills then you won't be dissapointed, you can get some great sunset photos frim here, and some great views as well
Bitez is a really beautiful place to be at night, its not noisy and full of lager louts like a few places i could mention, but it seems to have the perfect atmosphere
This is the far end of Bitez, in the area where the boats are moored, you can walk the entire bay in about 30 mins, a great way to walk off all that shish kebab and Raki hehehehehehe
