We only visited Turgutreis for 1 day, and the market was the main reason for the trip. Its the biggest market in the area, and it takes place on a saterday, but be warned it gets really, really packed in there, so be prepared to get shuved around. The photo shows one of the spice stalls with a huge display of spices from all around the world. We bought some pistasio nuts and some meatball spice from here, the aroma is something else
What to buy: Coats and sweat shirts are a bargain at the market, as well as a huge array of spices
What to pay: Coats, jumpers, sweat shirts, hoodies are around 5 pounds

Bitez is only a small seaside village so shopping is very limited, there are a few shops that sell basic foods and gifts but its only a short bus or taxi ride away from Bodrum or Gumbet and here you will find all the shops you need to keep even my wife happy hahahahaha (well almost)
