Favorite thing: Citizens of most of the European countries need visas to enter Turkey, but all you need is a valid passport and 10 euros/dollars/pounds.
Turkish money is called Turkish lira, and 1 euro is around 1750000 liras. Money can sometimes be a problem there, because you can easily get confused with all that zeros, but later you get used to it.Related to:

Night life at Bodrum.. Cuba bar
Favorite thing: Bodrum has a wild nightlife, you can find several pubs, clubs and bars that people are having fun.. However if you would like to follow the steps of Locals, just visit the Cuba bar..
It is the most fancy and popular club restaurant at Bodrum. Located just across the marina, on the town entrance.. You may find it packed with people on weekends, so try a less densed night. And also you can have your dinner first and enjoy afterwards.. Dont forget to bring your thick vallet with you..
The picture shows the Marina from inside Cuba, you can also see the chic design of the Club..
Cafes of Bodrum
Favorite thing: Just I will try to explain, If I could.. Bodrum has a Marina in the Town center..When you are facing to the Marina, On the left front side you will see the Bodrum castle, just up to the front.. And to the Left side you will see the narrow roads going paralel to the Sea..
When the road is over, you will arrive to an opening where Cafes are Facing to the sea.. Just a small promenade and behind are the cafes.. This is where you will spent quiet much time... In day time you can have a rest at the Cafes, looking forward to the sea and at night its rocking.. Red lion cafe is a good alternate to have a stop by at nights..
Favorite thing: Bodrum Castle or Saint Peters castle is one of the important marks of Bodrum..
Bodrum castle is located on the edge of a peninsula.. Which was once an island.. the castle was built on the 15th Century and has a long history, but for me the most special part of the castle is that it also hosts many heritages that has been found during underwater excavations..
Night life of Bodrum..
Favorite thing: Lets go Crazy and visit Bodrum at night.. In the town center there are hundreds of Pubs and bars, where you can get pissed off.. And you wont regret being there..
In summer nightlife of Istanbul, mostly migrates to Bodrum and many clubs perform special DJ's.. And also Turkish pop stars show up at Bodrum nightlife.. Bordum pubs and bars are the most per area in the Whole Turkiye..
The most popular club of Bodrum is Halikarnas disco.. Just at the end of Bar streets, adjacent to the shore. You cant miss there, it has the loudest music system :).. It was once the biggest open air disco, may be still the biggest on the Aegean and the most trendiest and most stylish club in Bodrum.. Watch for special shows everynight, 'foam Party', Ladies Night' or 'Night of the Dance' and be prepared for the cover charge..
Some other important stops are Hadigari, Yettigari, Fora Bar and Bebek Bar..
Bodrum in General
Favorite thing: Bodrum is on the Aegean coastes of Turkiye.. Famous with its bays, Boat tours and nightlife..
Where is Bodrum.. Bodrum is 254 km south of Izmir, but as the road is turning around the mountains, Approx. 4 hrs driving from Izmir.. 11 Hrs from Istanbul..
You can reach bodrum by THY schedule flights through Istanbul or through charter flights from major european cities..
You can also reach Bodrum by coach services from almost all cities of turkiye.. And Fast ferries from Greek island Kos..
Fondest memory: Bodrum is very special with its white houses.. All the houses around have white houses.. and at the slopes of the city these white houses gives a very nice landscape..Related to:

What is so special About Bodrum..
Favorite thing: Whereever you go in Turkiye or whenever you met with a Turk, you will hear something about Bodrum.. So whats so special in this town...
Definitely not only the Town center.. Indeed Town center is just a start..
Bodrum is located on a peninsula, which is getting in to the aegen sea.. The Shape of the peninsula is hosting many nice bays and smaller towns.. And these attractions are making the city of top important..
The other important locations around bodrum are as follows..
Town Center of Bodrum
Favorite thing: Today Bodrum has everything that one would expect to find in a vacation getaway. It is an important tourist center in both winter and summer. Bodrum has something from the rich yacht owners to the penny-counting tourists...
The main sites on the town center is the Marina, the Bodrum castle and narrow tiny roads full of shops, cafes and etc.. And At nights, these streets are turning to be the most active nightlife ..
The white houses decorated with colorful flowers gives a real attraction to every visitor.. And just two meters under the narrow streets of Bodrum lies 5000 years of history.
Favorite thing: I recommend that you do not drink the tap water in Bodrum due to it's high mineral content. Both 1 litre and 5 litre bottles can be purchased or from the bar or market in your accommodation or from one of the many markets around the resort. For those staying in self-catering acommodation the tap water can be used for making tea or coffee as there is no problem once the water is boiled.
Favorite thing: The ferry I came with from Datch docked in the harbour in the west bay. On the pier below the castle are the ferry offices, and beside Datch (Körmen) there are also ferries to Kos and Rhodos from here.
Below the castle and around the western bay it is full of yachts (gullets), which you can take a daytrip with or rent for several days. The yachts are a nice sight in the harbour.
Favorite thing: Turgutreis is the largest settlement in the peninsula.. The population is even more than Bodrum town center..
The long beach, the new Marina are the most attractive parts of the town.. Many buses which are travelling to Bodrum, do also visits Turgutreis.
Unlike Bodrum, Turgutreis is popular with its quiet, decent and relaxing atmosphere.. It is probably one of the rare places, that you can meet with Tourist from different countries and they call T'Reis as their home..
If you visit T'reis, dont forget to visit the charming Saturday market..
Favorite thing: The voltage here in Bodrum is 220 volts. All electical appliances may be used here but of course as the pluds here are different i.e. 2 pin circular, then you will need a treveller adapter. Unlike Europe, most Turkish bathrooms have sockets and we advise caution when using these. From time to time power cuts may occur which unfortunately are out outt of our control but generally they do not last very long and normally power is quikly restored.
Favorite thing: Gumbet is just adjacent to Bodrum.. it is located in the first bay next to bodrum town center..
As its very crowded and noisy in Bodrum town center, many tourists do choose to stay at Gumbet. It is just 10 minutes drive by Minibuses to reach to Bodrum.. and there are frequently minibus services..
As Gumbet became popular, more pubs and cafes has located even in Gumbet and the town is also getting noisy and crowded at nights..
The beaches at Gumbet are also very attractive and due its close location to Bodrum, Gumbet will keep on attracting more poeple..
Favorite thing: The ancient city myndos... Peaceful town Gumusluk, Modest citizens and a lovely village..
Gumusluk is a small village on the edge of the Bodrum Peninsula.. it is almost half an hour drive to Bodrum.. There are small pensions, restaurants and village houses..
As gumusluk is considered as a cite place, no more buildings are allowed.. May be thats why this small village is so much attractive..
Gumusluk is famous with its fish restaurants.. And its a must do "To eat fish at gumusluk".. Every night all those fish restaurants are getting full with locals, Tourists and visitors.. And a dinner in such a nice atmosphere woths many things..
There is a small island just in front of Gumusluk, its called Rabbit island. You can see many rabbits in the island..
