Favorite thing:
Bodrum is such a great place for sailing in. There are loads of Islands dotted all over the peninsular that you can pull up to and sail to. One such Island is opposite Kadikalesi and Turgutries. I like to call it the double humped Island but im sure it has a proper name! I was sailing there last summer with a company called PURE http://puretourism.co.uk/dinghy-sailing-holidays-kadikalesi-nr-turgutreis-bodrum-turkey
I hired a nice little pico and we did a sailing day trip which was great fun! There was just a couple of us, and we sailed from the beach. The wind was cross shore so it meant getting to the island was fairly easy. However when we got to the bay the wind did swirl making it quite hard to land. It was on a nice gentle wind day so the guys at PURE would only let us do it then. However definetly one of my best holiday experiences.
Fondest memory:
Have too many to share. However I think one of my favorite memorys of Bodrum was in Gumusluk where there is a really nice secret pool where you can watch the sunset whilst relaxing in a jaquisy like state!

A gulet: A gulet is an all wooden motor sailing yacht built for cruising the coasts in the calm warm waters of the Mediterranean. These yachts are built to center life on deck during the charter. Spacious decks and housing a large (usually) aft half mooned shaped dining and lounging area are their main features.
The number of passengers a gulet carries varies, according to size, between 8 and 16. On a 17 to 25 meter boat, that is quite a breathing space for each person considering that every passenger has private quarters and jointly used decks, saloons, etc. are quite spacious.
A gulet can best be compared to a small hotel afloat. There are double berths in each cabin and occasionally, upper bunks. Every cabin has its and shower. The crew sleeps and uses the facilities in their separate
Common quarters include a large saloon, a fully equipped galley commanded by a cook, lots of uncluttered deck space, sun mattresses strewn all over to laze on while tanning. Round sterned gulets have a mattress covered perch in the aft that is called a "pigeon's nest", the most comfortable place to lounge or nap on the boat, protected by awnings. Unlike a bareboat, which is often limited in water supply, a gulet offers the chance to wash off the salt after every swimming party, as it takes up to 3 tons of fresh water.

One, not to miss out, thing is to make a boat tour in Bodrum.. This is not an easy task, first of all you must not be pissed off the night before :) which is really hard in Bodrum :))
Bodrum has excellent bays and these bays are creating a land of marvellous landscapes, and you can best enjoy this by a boat tour.. There are several routes which you can take at Bodrum Marina, On the town Center..
Bodrum is also the start point of many Blue voyage tours.. it has three courses, which took 7 days where you can enjoy the blue harmony on the aegean coastes.. And also it has Daily boat trips organised every day in Bodrum Harbour between 10.00 and 12.00 to the surrounding bays and beaches.
