Halikarnas Disco: Foam foam foam
Halikarnas is the biggest, trendiest and most stylish club in Bodrum, if not the whole Aegean. The disco seems a joke, it's very expensive (admission price includes first drink) but the setting, the laser show and the no-expense-spared floorshow makes it for some people attractive. You can't miss it as it has the loudest music system in town. Many people around complaining. Open 2200-0400.
On any given night of the week something is happening at 'HALIKARNAS', be it a 'foam Party', Ladies Night' or 'Night of the Dance'. Entry fee is between 20 and 30 Million TL. The advertised FREE BEER NIGHT sounds a bit funny.
Dress Code: FREEEEEEE!!!!!
Halikarnas Disco: PARTY TIME
This is the biggest open air night club in europe, and this world famous place packs in 5000 people a night, its now been going for 22 years and the laser shows and cabaret artists are the best you will see anywhere in the world, Although i missed this place the last time i visited Bodrum, i am back there in sep so i will not miss it this time
Halikarnas Disco: Choking with foam at the disco
Before I went to Bodrum I had heard much about Halikarnas Disco from the friends who'd already been there... and I was really curious. Well it was worth the wait! On Friday and Saturday nights they have Foam Parties and it's totally awesome. First they have live music with DJs and singers from all over the world and then the crazyness begins :))) They start shooting foam from all over the stage and if you are really close to the stage, you will choke like I did! I had to swim thru the foam to get to the bar so I could clean my face and eyes ;-) But the music was totally cool and the crowd was great - I got to meet some cool people there... Oh yeah and the entrance is $25 per person on the weekends.
Dress Code: Make sure you don't take with you a camera or any other stuff that will get damaged by the foam. Don't worry, there will be a photographer there who can take your picture in the foam and then sell it to you at the exit for $5 or $10 a photo (I don't remember exactly). Anyway, do not wear your expensive clothes or black shoes - the foam will leave its marks ;-)

If you are young, if you want your body and soul to relax this city is for you!!!!!!!!!
That's how I would characterize Bodrum!
...and you'll never be hungry here...hehehe:)) the food in restaurants is SOOOO delicious!SOOO splendid that you can't tear yourself away till the last bit!
...and portions are SOOOO tremendous! To tell the truth I had my jawl on the floor when I saw a HUGE plate with salad. I was sure that it would be more than enough for my company:))))))))))
But the main thing about the city, which is definately worth visiting and paying 20bucks is Halikarnas:)
Ofcourse it's not the biggest disco in Europe, as we were told;)
but still my friends and I admitted that there was no doubt, it's more than unusual:)))))))
We enjoyed shows and dancing till the dawn:)
The best day for going there is Saturday (we went there on Tuesday) that promises unforgettable show .....and lots of foam:)
So you'll get loads of impressions and memories which will warm you during many months:)
2006.........I went there again! Halikarnas has always been and will be smth OUT OF THIS WORLD with its breathtaking atmosphere!!!!!!!!I DEFINITELY HAD BEEN missing it!!!!!!

Halikarnas Disco: The place to be on a night out!
They claim it is the biggest openair disco in Europe.
One thing you can say when you see the Halikarnas is that's it pretty impressing. You can party in the disco while enjoying the lovely vieuw of the sea and the old castle.
The disco is built like an ancient greec theatre which makes it so impresive.
Every night they have another theme night. Ours was free beer night :-p
Halikarnas Disco: Open Air Party!! Maybe!
Halikarnas is nearly 30 years old and offers a unique clubbing experience - but it is one that you do pay for!! This club will soon be comparable with the big Cyprus clubs for collossal admission fees. Only you will be able to decide whether the price is worth it.
The club has themed nights such as ladies night, foam night, free vodka night, Turkish pop night etc. The price differs depending on the event and some entrance fees include local drinks thrown in, for example ladies night is usually half price.
The club also hosts some international DJ's and on these nights the price can go well above 45 YTL - last year Liberty X did a gig and it was about 60 YTL!! Average price is 35 YTL. The club has dancers and entertainment including a resident DJ but I felt it was lots of hype for the money. Many boat trip organisers wil also try to sell you tickets for the club but the club hasn't played to full capacity every night for a while so buy your ticket when you get there.
Having been once I can say I've done it but I wouldn't be bothered going back, there is plenty of entertainment in the town or the lively Gumbet for me, however I would say to try it once it is an experience!
Dress Code: Smart clothes only on most nights but there is foam night to contend with!!
You will be told on the door if your clothing isn't "special" enough
Halikarnas Disco: Nightime
Do not go to the Halikarnas disco basically because of the way the staff there treat you if you are English. And overall the club entertainment is *** anyway. You are not allowed digital cameras in the club but people are always gonna have there camera phones. I was waiting at the bar 30 minutes to get served and when i did the barman had pured me a lager which you could stick a flake in. And when i did enquire about paying for the drink one of the barmen was just stood there doing nothing and kept blanking me. In the end i just walked off with the drinks but there was this Turkish/Australian guy there being served straight away. Halikarnas is not a pleasant night out especially if you are a single english girl the Turkish girls give you nothing but evil looks and are down right unpleasant and make you feel damn uncomfortable. Suggesting just because you are English you want to sleep with the Turkish men even when you are respectful and have no other intention but to have a good time. AVOID HAILKARNAS AT ALL COSTS ITS NOT A PLEASANT ATMOSPHERE
Dress Code: THERE IS NO DRESS CODE AT HALIKARNAS EXPECT A FEW DAGGERS FROM THE TURKISH GIRLS EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE DRESSED JUST AS PROVOCATIVELY
Halikarnas has been operating for 22 years, situated in the heart of Bodrum at the seaside overlooking St. Peter's Castle. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful night club in the world. It can hold 5000 people, making it the biggest open-air night club in the world. There you may watch the amazing laser shows, the foam shows, dance with the misicians and dance groups until early hours of the morning. They say Halikarnas is a must when in Bosrum, whatever your age.
Halikarnas Disco: Crazy Bodrum Nights
They say that there are mores discos than bed s to sleep in Bodrum .Of course this is an exageration but be sure that you have the 3rd biggest disco of Europe in Bodrum
The Halikarnas disco is one example that you shouldnt miss .Specially if you are young or if you feel yourself young
Dress Code: everything is accepted
Halikarnas Disco: Overrated
I was prepared to enjoy Halikarnas... however the cover charge was 35 TYL ($25 USD) and yes came with a "free drink" however the free drink option is limited to 2 TLY yucky beek or a bottle of water... They have never heard of Bacardi Breezers or the like and I am not a fan of drinking anything that doesn't come in its own can or bottle... especially in local's where one cannot drink the tap water and nothing is served with ice... for fear of well.... the tap water. The well cocktails and decent beers start at 20 TYL (about $15 USD) and quickly go up from there.... a bottle of Moet was like 300 TYL ($200... for a $35 bottle?) Shots are 30 TYL (about $20 USD) and there certainly was entertainment -I was there on a Friday night & they had an interesting "break dance" group perform as well as a solo singer who was damn good and the location is nice. But I did not like the DJ... americana hip hop, uggg not again, mixed with some turkish dance - which was not bad.... I stayed out of the foam for fear of ruining a nice pair of Pliners and a hot dress.... it was slow for a Friday night and never got going although I didn't get there till 12:30.....
Dress Code: appeared to be anything goes...
Halikarnas Disco: Bodrum in May
The tourism season has started in Bodrum.. We have international guests from all over the world since the end of March.. Of course we are not in the summer nightlife tempo yet, but in the first weeks of May more and more clubs will be opened.. About Halikarnas; well the disco is closed for the last 1,5 years but there is a big renovation there, seems like it will be open this summer, but cant say if it will be open in May? But definitely there will be other good alternatives for sure.. Also for accomodation i can help you with quality suggestions if you need.. have fun in Bodrum ;o)
Halikarnas Disco: Don't choke on the foam!
Halikarnas must be visited if you are going to Bodrum.
Free beer night sounds good, although did not get a chance to try this! Went to the foam party on the Friday and that was really good but the foam is really high so if you are short be careful or you may drown in it, or certainly chokeon it! Careful with shoes also, they slip off easily, especially if wearing flip flops! I lost my shoes and had to walk bare foot for rest of the night!!
It is more expensive to get in than other places but it is worth it. You get a free drink. Buy your photo at the end as you are not allowed to take cameras in there, unless you hide them in your pants or knickers! The photo is very good quality.
Music is very good. They have a variation throughout the week. Weekends will be mainly house and techno.
Halikarnas Disco: Empty, Big let down, very poor club! stay at home.
I have been there a couple of times, and both a very big let down. Tourisum isnt big this year in Turkey, and the night club only had a handful of people on the dance floor. If you wan't to pull, forget it. With very few people and the large mix of languages its near impossible. Its not all that its cracked up to be, if you want a decent seat, you will have to splash out on a bottle of wine, even though the club is empty. Bar staff keep tripping over your feat trying to work hard, but its just not needed in a nightclub, you want to relax, but feel as though staff are constantly breathing down your neck. Toilets, each time I went to the toilets I was followed in by a toilet attendant. The dancers this year SUK! I havent ever seen such bad dancers, they lack serious motivation and skill! As for the singers, SHUT UP!. All in all after having read the hype I was expecting something far far better and was very dissapointed. For the free drink nights you have to que (even thougth its prity empty) with only one person serving, so if your looking to get drunk on your free vodka/beer, forget it.
Dress Code: The clubs so empty I am sure they would let you in Naked if thats what you wanted.
Halikarnass Disco: Number 1

Halikarnas Disco: Nightlife
NIGHTLIFE is overwhelming in many villages on the peninsula and of course specially in Bodrum Centrum, which gradually has grown into one of the major entertainment centers along the Mediterranean.
