This restaraunt on the sea front provides steaks etc. and multi national quisine. The staff are very friendly and make your stay a pleasant one, nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is very good and reasonably priced. They provide a free bottle of wine every time you go, which is quite drinkable.
Favorite Dish:
Chateau Brilliant! This succulent steak comes to the table on a hot sizzler plate and is ignited with flaming brandy. I don't know if this makes it taste better but its great fun.
When people see your food arrive they sometimes order the same, filling the restaraunt with mini flares. Outside is a play area for the children with swings and stuff with a good view from the tables.
The Well is a new restaurant (2006) situated at the northern end of he beach before the new La Blanche hotel. It is in a walled garden overlooking the sea.
The owners are friendly and polite and there is excellent service.
The music is low and peaceful.
The kitchen is spotlessly clean and you are invited to inspect it.
Food is reasonable price £6 for Sea Bass which was cooked and filetted for me.
All in all 9/10 and well worth the 6 minute stroll along the front away from town.
Favorite Dish:
Sea Bass, fresh, cooked on BBQ.
Well, I just thought I would stick my oar in here, this little sit in/ take out restaurant is the nicest kebab shop in Gumbet! From chicken kebabs, doner kebabs to salad wraps. This little place stays opens nearly 24 hours. It is the tinest little place with the best staff. Theres nothing better than going here for a kebab after a night on the town and strolling home with kebab in hand!
Favorite Dish:
My favourite dish from here would be a chicken kebab with rice and chips. yummmmy! :-)
My fella couldnt pass this place without being extremely tempted! it wasnt the cheapest place to go for a doner or chicken kebab, but was far far far from the dearest! (right in the bazaar, and even they're not dear!) Sirin is a tiny kepab bar as you walk out towards the east bay from town, oppisite penguin restaurant and under/next to lokanta 6, its simple. you've got chicken or doner meat (with veggies and such like cooking in it) and you get a choice of pitta or bread (we always had bread, the pitta is more like tortiila) and that is that, you can sit in the little side area where they have peppers in pots for you to add at will, you get a lemon towel after to wipe your hands, see? real turkish fastfood!! they do sodas in the fridge, its so tiny you'd miss it, but try not to, the food was so very yummy, a great snack, when we went in may it was 2'500 tl and in sep it was 3'000 so in other words, a pound . go figure!
This was my most expensive Big Mac I ever bought. It cost me around 5,000,000! That was in the local currency Turkish Lira, so it wasn't that expenside at all really, but I got a big smile on my face when I heard the price.
My favorite pide restaurant.
Favorite Dish:
If you like meat try crunchy kiymali pide ask them tomake as thin as possible.
Or if you are vegeterian try otlu(herbs) pide
