The castle contains many artifacts and an excellent reproduction of one of the sailing vessels used (in the maritime museum).

The old castle of Bodrum is a real landmark in the city. Its nice to visit and you see some of the history of the area. Don't expect too much but nice on a free afternoon.

If you enter Bodrum by land or by sea you cannot miss to see the Castle of St. Peter. This castle is one of the world's best preserved monuments from medieval times.
