As I was here in May (Off Season) Not a real lot of people about, I booked my ticket the same morning as I wanted to go. In Peak Season, this would not be advisable. The Ferry to Kos leaves near the Bodrum Castle.

Bodrum is a good harbour for a visit to Greece. You can easiliy visit the greek island kos or Rhodes by ferry boats or the fast Hydrofoil. From Bodrum to Rhodes takes 2 hours with a Hydrofoil, and from Bodrum to Kos takes 25 minutes. A slow boat to Kos takes 1 hour.
You need to travel with your passport. Turkish passport control have often long queues.
For the yacht owners I can suggest The milta Marina which is situated in the heart of the city and the port....
Once you have moored at Milta Bodrum Marina’s 450 berths which can accommodate from the smallest of craft to super yachts each with a private service system, you feel that you have arrived at an exclusive holiday resort...

I took the ferry to Kos Greece one way 55 YTL about £22. The ferry leaves at 09.30 and takes about one hour. There is a ferry from Kos to Bodrum about the same time. The afternoon ferry is about 16.30. The ferry is used by day trippers and one way travellers. One way travellers are surveyed by Greek customs at Kos.
You can reach Bodrum with a hydrofoil from greek island Kos. There are daily boats during summer and 3 boats in winter time. It’s nice to go there for a day trip, you leave for Kos around 9 o clock and return around 17:00
There is also a ferry from Datca. In fact you go by bus to Körmen and the boat departs from there at 9 am.
Our favourite way of getting to and from our hotel and Bodrum centre was by water taxi. It cost us 2.5 lira each and it was great fun cruising in a little boat through the harbour by all the gullets and big liners to be delivered right near the market or back to our hotel. A few passengers worried when the sea was choppy and for those not to steady on their feet, getting on an off can be a bit scary.
Bodrum is a port. You can find some facilities if you want to visit Kos greek island.Hydrofoils can reach in 30 minutes to Kos and vice versa.
There are also ferries which transfers you and your car to Datca
In Bodrum there are loads of organised daily boat trips around the bays of Bodrum, or if you wish you can charter the whole boat with crew. This is surly a must do activaty in Bodrum, and most trips include lunch. Prices are around 10 pounds
This is the ferry port at Bodrum where they have frequent ferry and hydafoil crossings to the Greek island of Kos. This port is a border area so you will have to show your boarding passes and passports at the port and on entry to Greece, as well as back again. Duty free restrictions do apply on this service so you will be restricted on what you can bring in or out of Greece or Turkey
The "Blue Voyage" is a yachting tour, cruising along Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean coast. This unique tours are on traditional Turkish "Gulets" which are picturesque and comfortable. The Turkish Gulets were originally built for use by fishermen and sponge divers. Today they are luxuriously designed especially for chartered holidays. Their large, uncluttered decks are ideal for sunbathing and dining.
