To get to the owest bank side of the Calbis river (Dalyan river), you have to look for the small rowing boats (no engines), manually rowed by either the old man or the cheerful fat guy or a lady. It's located right at the entrance of the municipal tea garden on a wooden platform.
If you want to visit Kaunos, you'll be taking this boat, fare is TL4 return fare.

The popular transport going to Iztuzu Beach is the cooperative boats moored at Dalyan river. It took me minutes to figure out which of those dozens of boats on the side of the river, quite confusing, until I finally asked one of the boat drivers.
Return fare to Iztuzu Beach is TL10 which will be automatically handed out to you once you hopped on the boat, but if you specify that you only need a one-way fare, then you ahve to pay TL5, coming back to Dalyan once you're in Iztuzu Beach is also via this boat or the dolmush at the end of the beach strip.

The nearest transport hub from Dalyan is Ortaca bus terminal. So after Dalyan I headed to Fethiye via Ortaca. I took the dolmush from Dalyan's minibus station to Ortaca, and from Ortaca I've waited less than an hour for the bigger (than dolmush) minibus.
There's no direct transport to Fethiye or probably other destinations from Dalyan, so one must take a dolmush to Ortaca.
Although from Dalyan to Koycegiz, you'll find a dolmush from the same transport depot near the river of Dalyan.

The nearest airport to Dalyan is the small Dalaman Airport which also is the nearest one to Fethiye.
Dalaman Airport serves Dalyan, Fethiye, Marmaris, Datca, and other small towns around it.
I took the AtlasJet from Atatrurk airport in Istanbul to Dalaman and from the airport I booked a shuttle transport to my hotel in Dalyan online at A2Btransfers.com at EUR6.50 one way.

This is Dalaman Havalimani airport, its a small airport and i think only operational in the summer months for the tourists. Dalyan is only 30 mins from here and reachable by coach, local bus, or taxi.

Dalyan is 15 Km to Ortaca.. And there are regular mini busers from Ortaca to Dalyan..
Dalyan is also 30 km to the Dalaman airport.. There are shuttles to Ortaca from the airport.
The buses from Marmaris to Fethiye also stops at Ortaca bus station..
