    Fethiye by night

by Aurorae Written Oct 18, 2004

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Nightlife in Fethiye and Ölüdeniz is not so exuberant, but there are plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, etc. No clubs however. All of them are on the open air and there is sometimes live music, but usually there is a DJ. The prices are HIDEOUS.

Ottoman Bar: Let your body Flow.......Thats the Way.....

by cosycarol Written Jan 28, 2005

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Surely the quickest way to get to know the locals - as dancing very, very close up due to the cramped floor space, you are sure to bump into them! Dancefloor small and cosy - like me! But this is a cool pub and you will hear all sorts of Eurorock, traditional Turkish, soul or house music by their resident DJ. On a balmy summer early evening just sit on the wooden terrace and mellow on an old waterpipe (Nargile), and sip a cool Raki. Or look inside to explore ottoman regalia hanging on walls - nargiles for sale, old instruments, clothes and wall kilims. Later as darkness falls its just a short hop upstairs, you can have a little Ottoman corner all to yourself - perfect for small groups! Make your way up to 1st floor for some regular shaking and moving.Be quick as tables fill quickly after 10pm. A perfect place for a nice blend of different music and people! You can surely find local Turkish men indulging in some traditional folk dancing as well! Lovely.....

Dress Code: I think in Turkey everything goes - except perhaps ciplak - thats NAKED! Won't be open during religous Bayram festivals!

  • Seftaliler (Peaches): New Bar to Open

    by tatlim66 Updated Mar 31, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

New bar to open in Fethiye in the main bar st (Paspatür). Opening in the next two weeks Peaches Bar will offer karaoke as well as music for all ages including music from the 60's, 70's & 80's. Offering a slightly quieter and more relaxed atmosphere than the likes of Car Cemetary and the Ottaman, but at the same time offering an enjoyable night out.
The bar will try to play the music which you want to hear when you want to hear it, but if your song is not in their database they will attempt to obtain it for the following night. So if you have any favourite songs which you wish to sing on their karaoke or would like to hear on your night out just email them in advance at info@peachesbar.com or alternatively follow their link on theýr website http://www.peachesbar.com

George's cocktail Bar: My favourite place in Fethiye

    by emma79 Updated Nov 6, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I last visited george's in 1998 but tended to spend most of my holiday there.
The cocktails are excellent, prices are cheap and the Efes flows freely!
Wonderful relaxed atmosphere, also live football on the TV most days.
A great place to sit out, enjoy the sun and lazily watch the day pass by.

Dress Code: Anything goes, within reason obviously.

Sobe Tapas and Drinks Bar: Chill out or Latin rhythms

by cosycarol Updated Jun 14, 2009

A sophisticated upstairs Tapas bar and restaurant with a huge picture window providing a super vista over the charming yacht harbour and Mediterranean. Meet your friendly host Belgin and learn Salsa dancing Thursday eves if you dare. On Saturdays listen to their resident guitarist strumming spanish, flamenco, latin or turkish music from 1930 onwards.

During the day the bar and restaurant is open for lunch, brunch or drinks. When the sun goes down, you can relax with an international choice of food in their large lounge, with modern seating and chill out music. After sunset and when wining & dining is over they will turn up the tempo a little to get you in the mood with their club music, which is sure to get your feet tapping.

Whatever the mood of the bar or guests they will strive to match the music to the mood. Therefore Sobe is an ideal place to party or to gather with a group of friends. Go for a spot of people or local celebrity spotting. What I liked most about this bar is that it has elevated quickly as a trendy place to hang out, no doubt because of its great service! There is no entrance fee for live music. It attracts a nice balance of business men, young up and coming students, regular couples and holidaymakers. You should enjoy its lovely tapas, local drinks and soak up the relaxed ambience and views.

Dress Code: casual smart, salsa-wear if you dare!

    The Pelican cafe: Pelicans

    by mickeyboy07 Written Sep 25, 2011

Situated along the the harbour is the Pelican cafe with believe or not Real Pelicans that belong to the owner of the bar,the Pelicans are quite friendly but dont get too close as they have a tendancy to nip you. They are quite well trained and will often perch themselves on the posts provided for them and have thier picture taken.
The bar itself is nice and cheap and the perfect place to sit by the harbour and watch the sunset and breath in the fresh night air.

    Duck Pond bar: Water haven

    by mickeyboy07 Written Oct 4, 2011

The Duck pond is a bar and restaurant in the centre of Fethiye, located in the pedestrianised section of the town west of the main road. The setting is very tranquil as it overlooks a purpose built Duck Pond where Ducks can be seen swimming all day long, there are fish in the pond as well and a fountain, its the perfect place to relax and have a drink or a meal.
Prices seemed reasonable though we only had drinks here.Staff are friendly and the decor is traditional Turkish.
