Most years people are maimed or killed on these safaris. We don't hear about it in Britain because the papers only publicise the British interest stories. It happened to my family two years ago and it has just happened again this Summer. My advice is to avoid them unless you enjoy that 'I may not return' element to holidays.

Be careful about children while you are crosing the villages since to pour a full bucket of water to tourist jeeps is a tradition in here :))
