Luggage and bags: When going on holiday, it's best to pack a spare hold all, or collapsable suitcase, to carry all of those souvenirs back home in. You never know how much you're going to buy, and it's best to have plenty of spare room.

Miscellaneous: The postal service in Turkey is very bad, the last time i sent postcards from Marmaris they actually took 6 weeks to deliver. Agood tip here is to pack a few airmail envolopes in your suitcase, just buy the postcards and put them in the envolope, they will then be delivered in days instead of weeks

Miscellaneous: Because of Turkish religion you will not find any sink or bath plugs anywhare, even in your hotel room. The turkish people have to bathe in running water so there is no need for plugs in Turkey

Miscellaneous: If you like reading on holiday like me then you need to take books with you because it is hard to find any decent books in Marmaris. You can get newspapers but they are a day late and work out very expensive, an English newspaper in Marmaris costs about £2.

Luggage and bags: My best tip is to leave plenty of space in your suitcase before you leave because gifts are so cheap to buy in turkey. Most foods are available but my wife will insist that we take the salad cream with us, not because she's mad its because you can't get the horrible muck there. Actually she is stark raving bonkers Ha Ha Ha". If you are traveling from England to turkey you will need a visa which you will be asked to purchase on arrival for ?10 pounds sterling, cash only. Bit of a con if you ask me.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: In the summer month's the heat can get unbearable with temp 45 degrees and over,so wear as little as poss. Comfortable walking shoes is a must as the heat is murder on your feet. Also a good pair of beach sandles or flip flops are essential as the sand will burn the soles off your feet. Actually while i'm on the subject, what do you call a Frenchman on the beach. FELLIEP FELLOP flipflop get it Ha Ha Ha. Anyway if you're booked on a Gulit cruise holiday there are no shoes allowed on board and don't bring any electrical items as there are no electricity sockets on board.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: A good medical kit is a must, treatment by a doctor or hospital in turkey is very expensive. As for toiletries like soap, toothpaist, ext, they are readily available and cheap
Photo Equipment: Photography equipment including films are very expensive in turkey so make sure you bring enough to last.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: You will need some sort of swimming costume. Topless sunbathing in turkey is not allowed. Unless your a man Ha Ha Ha.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Just a small bag for t-shirts, short pants, short dresses and sun glasses will be enough.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: mosquito repellent, medical for bee and for all other flying insects bites, medical for sun burns would be helpful.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Any kind of games (mikado, pictinory, playing cards, risk, board games) will make your trip much more fun.
Miscellaneous: Books and all kind of plastic sea entertainment or sports equipment

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Shorts, sandals and a t-shirt. But most importantly, a hat. I was wearing a Colombian sombrero I bought at Zipaquira, Colombia. Which led to much amusement on the part of the locals, who continually referred to me as "Tex" or "cowboy".
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: I'd advise at least factor 30-40 sunblock, and plenty of it. The heat is almost overwhelming.
