Vogue Jewellery Center moved this year from the main road to Datca Road next to KIPA supermarket. Its really worth making the effort to go - they have a big factory on site which is not only really facinating to watch, but experts will clean and polish your own jewellery like new and the goldsmiths dont mind resizing your own rings and soldering any broken chains all free - its great!
Its not just gold and diamonds, Vogue sell silver and lots of lovely origional brand watches too.
The staff are professional, polite and helpful - and dont give you all the 'chitchat' you can experience elsewhere.
The local taxi's will take you their free & the vogue driver takes you back to the hotel.
When we went - they were giving away pairs of FREE diamond stud earrings! I couldnt believe it! We're going to their shop in Brighton too next week.
What to buy: 18ct Gold Gold and more Gold! Plain gold, precious stones, gemstones, silver & origional branch watches. Its good value compared to the 9ct stuff you tend to get back in England. Lots of things are handmade so solid.
What to pay: As much or as little as you want. You know the saying- 'you get what you pay for'. Vogue are very trusting and allow customers to pay for their jewellery later in the year through their shop in Brighton - which is great so you dont have to take more money away or use up the spending money budget!
This has to be the biggest jewellery shop i have ever seen and they even provide a shuttle bus to take you there. A little tip for the men, don't let the girls see this shop coz they might just see that wedding ring she's been after hahahaha.
What to buy: A lot of the jewellery and gold in the shop is hand made.
What to pay: My wife spent all of my money hahaha.
This is very nice jewellery shop in Marmaris. Very good gold, friendly staff. Shopping there already 3 years, prices are flexible and negotiable.
Private attitude, especially to regular customers. Owner - Husan always takes care of everything.
Most unusual jewellry I've ever seen, also the most beautiful hand crafted jewellery. Personally I bought a ring for £250 and had it valued over in the UK and it's worth £900. One off, no one else will have the same exquisit jewllery. Try it out or have a look at least. NO pressure.
What to pay: Anything from £10 - £300
Where ever you go in Marmaris you will find a great selection of shops. You can buy absolutely anything from designer clothes to jewellery from bed sheets and feberics to cds and computer games.
What to buy: Jeans, T-Shirts, Shirts, Gold and Turkish goodies.
What to pay: Depends on what you buy but everthing is 2 times cheaper than what it would be in the UK.
As in more Turkish places, they sell a lot of jewelry here. It is much cheaper as in other countries and the gold is good (most of the times at least). I didn't buy anything here but usually the host/hostess know which shops are good and don't cheat. It is worth having a look if you are interested in it.
