I had a great day relaxing in Fatboys after a little adventure in the morning. A few of us went here to play free pool for a few hours with a couple of beers. The pool was good with all of us seeming to win and lose the same amount. I had a nice lentil burger here as well for lunch which went down well. Later on in the evening the place began to fill up. There was live football shown on the big TV.

The best bar in town. It can fill up to be a busy dancing spot. The terrace and outside sitting places are cosy and an ideal place to enjoy Cappadocia life during the day or at night. Here locals and tourists meet. Prices are moderate and you get good drinks for the price. They have a good collection of music. Staff is very friendly and helps with whatever you need.

Find a nice spot to sit and watch the sunset over the Cappadocia plains, especially in the direction of the Rose Rock. It is quite lovely. Afterwards relax with some good friends, drink some tea and smoke some nargileh. Good times!

My biggest regret now looking back on my time in Goreme was that I did not go to a Whirling Dervish show. There are frequent shows in a town about 15minute driver from Goreme, on the way to the Neveshir airport. You can arrange a tour to a show with any of the multiple of travel agents in the area

Despite its name, you don't have to be a red wine connoisseur to enjoy this place. While the house has a good selection of Cappadocian wines (reputedly the best in Turkey), they do serve beer, and the much-dreaded raki.
The place seems to have it all: ambiance (as friendly as it is intimate with its candle-lit interiors ); architectural integrity (formerly a stable with low arched ceiling - an original in Goreme); and history (it's one of the first backpackers' watering holes and Carlos Satana - yes, THE Carlos Santana - used to perform here in the '80s).
If you're lucky, the owner, Muharrem Serinsu, a chatty old chap, will entertain you with the history of the place. It's also Goreme's de-facto official community pub that's open even in the coldest of winters. Perhaps this is what makes the place more special - it's authenticity as a community gathering place, not just one made for tourists. A must visit in Goreme.

This pub may lack the ambiance of Red Red Wine House, but it sure does attract a good crowd, mainly lured by the giant TV screens showing live football (at the time of my visit, live rugby matches). It's a no-frills place to enjoy a few rounds of Efes and if you're more daring - raki.
If football (or rugby for that matter) is not your thing, you can hone your tavla skills here, just like I did. Chances are, friendly Turks will come to your rescue should you forget the basic rules. They might even teach you a few tricks even if that means missing their football game.

the fat boys bar is the place to go if you want to watch both turkish and international football.
the place is a favorite hangout for both locals and international travellers.
some nights can get quite lively and the dance floor might get busy.
the place has a nice outside seating area too for warm evenings.
Dress Code: don't worry about dress code.
the place is run by a real australian girl and is very casual.

As you havent got many choices to have a proper fun and music in Cappadocia , i kindly ask you to leave Goreme and come over Urgup.Urgup is the only 'up market' place in Cappadocia with some better options comparing to goreme. There is fire place in the cafe and quite good music they make and also some snacks are available.

There few bars at the town center of Goreme, one along the road which you would not miss if your're heading to the Goreme Open Air Museum, is the Flintstones Bar.
And further down the road is the Hazan Turku Evi Live Music, although, they are closed during the winter we were there.
Winter is very quiet, not much people going to bars, maybe in summer.
