Turkish Night Shows: Let's dance in Avanos
The Turkish Night Show is a collection of traditional live performances held nightly at one of the cave restaurants in Cappadocia. In my case, my guide recommended one in Avanos which in my opinion was way better in terms of cost & value than what I saw in Istanbul. The evening started at 8.00pm with performance by the Whirling Dervishes and on to several lovely folk dances and finally the seductive belly dancer. While all this is going on, we were served nice appetizers, dinner and free flowing drinks which included soft drinks, local wines, beer & raki. In between several performances, guests were invited to join in to dance to modern music, which after a couple drinks is very easy to do. Just like Cinderella, right before midnight, we were all taken back to our hotels to sleep it off. Overall, it was a fun night out. Smart casual
