Queens Garden: Drink, brother, drink!
Walk around in the late evening in Alanya, follow your ears and you will eventually find a square in the shopping precinct, that turns into an open-air nightclub at night. Huge quantities of drink go hand in hand with waiters dancing on tables and seducing both men and women with their bare chests and suggestive hip movements. There are DJ's playing dance music as well as popular sing-alongs that everyone knows. They play the British Drinking Classics, The German Schlager, the Dutch Smartlap and even the odd Turkish Chartbuster. Don't be afraid to sit next to a stranger; he will be your friend when you stumble back to your hotel after a good few hours of drinking, singing, birdwatching and general fun.
