No real problems if going to an established hotel. Remember to take long sleeves and trousers for visiting mosques and other religous buildings. Lots of unmade roads so good shoes advisable. If you are going out sightseeing, expect to clkamber over ruins, so again good shoes/trainers worthwhile. You must have lots and pots of mosquito repellent !! They are quite nasty little swines over in Turkey. Also as a muslim country you may like to take a bath plug so you can take a bath, most hotels or pensions do not have them. (Sciptures state Muslims must wash in running water).Consider toilet roll if you have a sensitive derriere. Take binoculare if you have them, the scenery is wonderful. No real advice, we stayed in good hotels !! Small change is good for tipping !!Take a chill pill - the pace of life is very relaxed in Turkey, but it is wonderful !!

Si vas en Diciembre, lo mas probable es que este nevado. Se hace imprescindible llevar buen calzado que sea impermeable, pues deberas andar mucho por los valles de Capadocia, y si no llevas buen calzado terminaras por tener los pies mojadisimos.

Even if visiting Turkey during the warmer months, April-September, if travelling from Ankara to Mediterranean coast, the mountains are big and you may experience snow. Bring some thing gloves, scarf and a sweater so you can layer. Bring loads of toilet paper. Once you leave Istanbul, toilets are squatters and many only have a bucket of putrid water to wash your hands with.

If you fly Turkish Airlines, they allow each passenger to bring two carry-on bags. I carried on one weekender bag and one tote. I recommend bringing no more than that for a 17-day trip such as the Super Value Western Turkey Tour offered by Pacha. You might get sick of wearing the same four outfits all the time, but it sure was nice not lugging a large suitcase around everytime we changed hotels (which was often). If you can, buy all your clothes at TravelSmith (online). Great clothes that travel wrinkle-free, wash and dry fast, and wear well. Our tour was May 18-June 3, 2001. If I could take the tour all over again I would have worn skirts instead of slacks. I suggest skirts because then you can use the Turkish toilets easily rather than waiting in long lines for the western style toilets. Also, at this time of year the weather was hotter than expected. I'm not a hat wearer, but I would...

Going to a very sunny country...so what will you need? Shorts and shirts and bikini. That's all. You don't need much there as it is soo warm, you won't wear trousers or whatever. So don't take too much.

A backpack is the go in Turkey Good boots or enclosed shoes, and a pair of sandals. A basic first aid kit. You won't have any trouble finding a power point to charge your batteries, as long as you have an adapter. A towel is a big and bulky thing to fit in your backpack, so instead of taking one, buy a cheap sarong and use it as a towel. They're excellent, dry really quick, take up no space, and you can use it as a picnic blanket, beach towel, even a sarong. The rubber sport towels are crap!!!

You can bring luggage box or backpack as you like. The transportation in Turkey is very easy. The weather of Turkey is hot in summer, don't forget the sun lotion.

backpack and haversack and money belt You'll really need some good tough high-cut hiking boots to tackle those rock strewn paths up the Hierpolis at Pammukale. toilet paper. wear your swim gear under your trekking clothes coz you never know when you'll pass a great beach! Insulating tape is good for just about everything..from mending shoes and clothes to taping breakables in newspaper!
