One of our favourite restaurants in Dalyan is: Lokanta SINI. The name “Sini” comes from the traditional plate, where, in the old times, meals were prepared on. The restaurant is situated next to the market place. When walking along the harbour in the direction of the lake, you will see a restaurant called “Lâlezar” . Next to this restaurant is a small street, called “Açýk Pazar Yeri”. Follow this street and walk straight on, across the market place. In the same street you will find Lokanta SINI at your right.In Lokanta Sini they serve traditional Turkish food. We ate there a perfect Dalyan Köfte, a meat dish, based on minced meat, eggs, herbs and spices: D E L I C I O U S !!!Furthermore they serve dishes, you cannot find in other restaurants, like “Imam Bayildi” or “The fallen Imam”. The story goes, that this dish was eaten one day by an Imam. It tasted so good, that the Imam fell over....
