A good and cheap option are the doner kebab's which you can find in every city. You will find the locals here. The atmosphere isn't special. Tube-lights and mostly only a few seats. My favourite is the chicken special. Chicken kebab with pide (flat bread), salad and yogurt.

The Hotel Katia Princess, 5 star, has a buffet dinner, all you can eat, with plenty of food, including Turkish dishes, to choose from. Also a cinema in the same complex, and next to a big supermarket ‘Migros’.
Because Egirdir is situated right beside a lake, you can always get fresh seafood there. We had a sumptous seafood dinner set meal at Lale Hostel which we cannot stop raving about at its good value. Soup, salad and about a dozen crayfish (or slipper lobsters) for 16 YTL or if you are looking for a snapper set meal, it will cost 12 YTL.The crayfish and snapper was caught on the very same day by the same fisherman guy who cooked our meal and also showed us how he hooked up the nagileh, smoking water pipe. There are plenty of good fish and seafood restaurants in Egirdir and they are cheaper than in most places even in coastal resort towns. Egirdir made for a good rest stop between Pammukale and Konya because it is about 3 hours each way between both places. The Cafe Tlawa Restaurant is an extremely popular restaurant that tends to get full of bus tour groups. This is in fact how I ended up there. The cafe is spread out through a multi-level leafy patio with picnic table type benches. It has a very pleasant atmosphere. Fortunately it had stopped raining (this was the only daytime rain I had in Turkey) when I visited so you could sit outside. The specialty of the house is trout. There is in fact a trout farm next door that you can visit for no cost. As for the trout, it is quite good.
A backpacker staple on the routes round Turkey (at least in my group), there is no better way to start eh day. You name the ingredient and they’ll probably prepare one with some if they have it. The great thing as well is that they're usually very cheap as well as tasty, it's always worth keeping your eyes peeled for them on any menu!
Sofra's appear to be designed for workers and locals budget restaurant food. All types of people use this sofra and they offer a good choice of menu. Food is often displayed behind a glass counter. Your choice is usually served on a bed of rice and comes with water to drink and hot fresh Turkish bread and garlic butter.Its cool to sit outside and pick up the local sounds and atmosphere. There appears to be a belly dancing outfit shop opposite. All the food is good, the staff excellent and you can order off menu if desired.
coco bongos is a great staek house situated just up the road from the isilay apartments. it has really delicious sunday lunches and there curry is one to try. so if you are evr in marmaris go to coco bongo. the staff are great really friendly and cater to your every needs even give you drinks free not once but a few times during your stay there. i think my favorite dish from the restauraunt had to be there chicken a la king a mixture of chicken with rice, chips, potatoes and sald topped of with a white sauce. it was great
In my humble opinion, Turkish Cuisine is among some of the finest in the world. I think that it has benefited from the 500 years in which the Ottomans ruled a great portion of the world and brought back some of the best cooking concepts. Then, our guide told us that the sultans had over a thousand chefs and helpers who worked in the Topkapi Palace [ where some of the world's most incredible dishes were invented in the Topkapi kitchens]. The Soundwaves Restaurant is owned by the same people that own the Beach House Hotel in Side. As I was staying at that establishment, I was offered a 10% discount if I ate at the Soundwave. Sounded like a good deal so I gave it a go. I had a hearty meal and was quite pleased with the place. The service was good and the decor on the patio was quie pleasant with bench and gardens. The menu offers both Turkish and European cuisine.
