Selekler Carsisi, Antalya: Selekler Shopping Center

by hopang

Selekler Carsisi is one of the largest shopping malls in the heart of the city of Antalya. It is located at Cumhuriyet Caddesi near some of the best parks in the city with a tram line running along the street. There are three levels of shopping spaces for the convenience of shoppers. Wide range of items are available in the shopping center, most of them deal in household products, clothings and textiles, shoes and leather products such as handbags, travelling bags, belts and wallets. Entertainers such as gimmicks can be seen occasionally entertaining visitors outside Selekler Carsisi. Tourist information office is located within a stone's throw from the shopping center. Clothings and textiles are highly recommended. Prices of products can be expected to be a little bit more expensive due to the location of the shopping center.

Sultan Bazaar Shopping Center, Antalya: An excellent shopping center

by hopang

Sultan Bazaar Shopping Center is one of the largest shopping centers in Antalya. It is certainly one of the most beautiful shopping centers in Southern Turkey. This is an upmarket shopping center catering to mostly rich foreign tourists. It is located at Lara Kundu areas where many five stars hotels are located. The shopping center has approximately 70 shops. Cafes and restaurants are located on the lower ground floor. It was constructed in 2005 in Ottoman Selchuk style of architecture. The shopping center was opened to the public since 2005. It has three levels with approximately 13,000 square meters of shopping spaces. Business hours are between 9.00 a.m. and 11.30 p.m. daily. One of the most interesting shops we patronised at Sultan Bazaar is a well-known shop dealing in leather jackets on the ground floor facing the main road. It has two levels of shopping spaces with a basement. Wide...

Varol Textile Fabrica Satis Magazasi: Denizli

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

The first stage of the textile industry is the cotton gin industry. There are 6 cotton gin factories in Denizli. Their capacity is more than 150,000 tons. The first factory was founded in 1950, another in 1962, one in 1968, one in 1974, one in 1977 and the last one was founded in 1985.We have been taken to a textile shopping center for buying towel, bathrobe and other textile products. The Pamukkale/Denizli area is famous for its cotton and the home wares. A total of 30 percent of the population earn their living from the textile industry. So it’s a good reason for looking into the roadside textile factories. Many of the other souvenirs and traditional Turkish wares that you can find in other parts of Turkey are cheaper around Denizli/Pamukkale because they are produced there. We were brought to Fabrica Satis Magazasi and many women out of our group bought something there (while I was...

Souvenir shops: Goreme 2

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

While the quality in touristy shops is often high, you will be paying 2-3 times what you otherwise would. After walking through the ancient churches decorated with frescoes, you will finally may have a stop at a carpet/pottery/onyx shops which are situated just along the way from the museum to the bus parking.

Grand Bazaar-Kapalicarsi: Istanbul

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

The Kapalicarsi or Covered Bazaar is one of the largest covered markets in the world with more than 58 streets, over 1,200 shops, not to mention ten wells, four fountains, two mosques, and several cafés and restaurants. Around 25,000 people are permanently employed in the bazaar, and an indeterminate number of street vendors ply their wares in and around it. The heart of Turkey's gold market and unofficial foreign exchange market beat here and has between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors daily. The bazaar contains two bedestens (domed masonry structures built for storage and safe keeping), the first of which was constructed between 1455 and 1461 by the order of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror. The bazaar was vastly enlarged in the 16th century, during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, and in 1894 underwent a major restoration following an earthquake. You can watch my 3 min 24 sec HQ...

Shopping

by Gili_S

Turkey is a great place to do shopping, the markets are the place to get some good deals and fresh spices, just be aware that what you think is a trade mark items are fake and not in a good quality. However, you can be sure that the Raki is original.
