Fondest memory: It was in July 2000 when my boyfriend (now my husband), Ozgur and I were off to Sivas for a very dear friend's wedding. Ozgur thought it would be a nice opportunity to show me the city he had grown up. It was going to be an ineteresting experience for me. Here, I should state that geographically speaking Sivas is in Central Turkey but for someone like me (who comes from the western coast) Sivas is in the Eastern Turkey.
Anyway, we went to the central bus station in Ankara, got on the bus and left Ankara peacefully. In 10 minutes the host of the bus started to give some info about the journey and at the very end of his speech the host said "Please don't take of shoes as the other passengers may not like the smell". It was funny but wierd for me. I was wondering why he had to announce something like that. Then, I learned that in many buses that leave Ankara for eastern cities such announcements are made by bus companies to avoid any possible trouble. That was the confirmation of my theory: We were going to the East:)

Favorite thing: THERMAL FISH SPRINGS IN KANGAL/SIVAS
The springs were a kind of reed-bed until 1917. By chance a shephard who was wounded on his foot sees his wound healed by the water of the spring. This fact gets the attention of the public and primitive pools were built. Later on around 1950's very simple buildings were contsructed. In 1960's springs were taken over by the local administration of Sivas and several lodging facilities were built. Now it is delivered to a private company that made a more modern place for psoriasis guests.
Water is natural that comes from underground. There are 3 kinds of fish in this water. Each of them has a diffent ability. While one of them tries to suck your dirty blood others try to recover it fastly. It is really amazing!!! By the time it bites at first it gives a little pain but later on u get used to.There is nothing to be afraid, i guarantee you. Coz at the end of the day u can see that your skin is healing up, and u feel relaxed. Dont worry, just try!!!
