From Hattusas to Yazilikaya by bus

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

A city of Hattusas approximately two by one kilometers in area, situated on the slopes of a high rocky massif (950-1250 m above NN level). The region is set in a loop of the Kizil Irmak River which is running not far from it (Marashantiya in Hittite sources and Halys in Classical Antiquity) in central Anatolia. The rock sanctuary at Yazilikaya (Inscribed Rock), carved with reliefs which rank among the finest surviving from the Hittite period, evidently had close links with the city temples at Hattusas. You may watch my 3 min 51 sec VIDEO-Clip Hattusas out of my Youtube channel, 3 min 35 sec VIDEO-Clip Hattusas Around by bus.

From Ankara to Hattusas by bus

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

Hattusas is situated in the Çorum province near modern Bogazkale (formerly Bogazköy) at the northern reaches of the ancient landscape of Cappadocia.Çorum is a province in the Black Sea region of Turkey, but lying inland of Central Anatolia. We came to Çorum Province by bus on our ring-way around Turkey from Ankara Province while going to Cappadocia. The distance between Ankara and Bagazkale is about 210 km. It is only three and a half hours driving from Ankara and you get magnificent views of the Anatolian hills. Take the highway E88 (Turkish D200) out of Ankara and look for signs for Samsun, then turn for Corum driving past Delice and Sungurlu and look for Bogazkoy.

Along Ankara by bus

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

Centrally located in Anatolia, Ankara is an important commercial and industrial city. It is the center of the Turkish Government, and houses all foreign embassies. It is an important crossroads of trade, strategically located at the center of Turkey's highway and railway networks. We moved along Ankara by our bus several times from the Old city to Anticabir and back. I enjoyed city scenes out of a bus window. You may watch my 3 min 25 sec VIDEO-Clip Ankara Street scenes out of bus window with Grup Hepsi Kalpsizsin music.

Across the Bosphorus by ferry

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

A cheap way to explore the Bosporus is offered by the public ferries that traverse the Bosporus from Eminönü to Üsküdar and back. I’ve taken advantage of this way cruising. It took me about 15 minutes and 1,5 YTL for a one way ticket. You can watch my 3 min 42 sec HQ Video Istanbul Bosporus part I Istanbul'da out of my Youtube channel with Teoman - Istanbul'da Sonbahar Turkish pop music.

Along Istanbul by tram

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

A fast tram (T1) was put in service in 1992 on standard gauge track with modern cars, connecting Sirkeci with Topkapi. A final extension to Kabatas was opened in June 2006. I’ve taken a ride between Aksaray and Kabatas and back to Laleli. The line has 24 stations on a length of 14 km. Service is operated with low-floor Bombardier Flexity Swift trams. An entire trip takes 42 minutes. From Moscow to Istanbul and back by plane

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

I arrived to Turkey and Istanbul in April of 2008 by a charter plane of VIM airlines from the Domodedovo airport of Moscow. The flight lasted about three hours and was quite pleasant for ne because I had my place at a window and could take video about spacious Russia and Ukraine, Black Sea coasts in the Crimea and Turkey.Istanbul Atatürk International Airport located in Yesilköy, on the European side of the city. It is 15 km southwest of the city centre. The airport is named in honor of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Bus

by Gili_S

The most common public transport in Turkey is the bus, they will take you almost all over the country, to the next town until the next bordering country. There are hundreds of bus companies in the country so route investigation is needed before you book your trip

Rent a car

by Gili_S

Turkey is a mountaineer country, the roads might be narrow and curvy, buses can be slow and having your own car will be the most convenience to travel around, but just be very careful when you drive here.

Boats

Boats are very popular way to travel in Turkey. From a short distance to the next town to whole trip to the next Greek island. Just make sure before you go somewhere to find out if there will be also a cruise back.
