Keep an eye out on the right hand side of the road on your way to Marina Mall. It is between the 1st and 2nd set of traffic lights after you turn onto the road to marina mall.
Shisha (waterpipre) Cafe on the waterfront. Also serves as a restaurant.
Offers a great view of the city. especially at night!
one advantage of having a private tour is that you can ask your tour guide slash driver to cruise around Abu Dhabi area, including the Corniche, Marina, Downtown areas and you can make stops at areas you want and you can have extra time to go around if you are willing to pay an extra AED 120 per hour extra if you exceeded your 10 hour limit, which we did hence we had lots of photos of our day tour to ferrari world, yas island and Abu Dhabi City coming from Dubai. Unfortunately, half a day in abudf dhabi is not enough to see the sights and shop around (we spent the other half day at ferrari world and yas island).
Abu Dhabi is not just beach sand there's lots of other sorts of sand.
Try dune bashing even sand skiing here are a couple of dune pictures so you can see what you are missing.
Try to go to Al AIN or LIWA to see tha dunes. You will be glad you did.
(not in the summer though!!)
if you want to see abu dhabi from high up, head to burj marina inside the marina mall, and then take the elevator to the first stop: the coffee shop. the stop higher up is a restaurant. People there, at cafe colombiano, are very nice and don't mind letting you look around and taking pictures... at night it is very suggestive!
On the way back from Jebel Hafeet visit the oasis Green Mubazarrah. There are water springs that form a big lake in the center of the desert!
Almost empty space... for now .... try it in a year or so...and there will be a new city here. In two years it will be busy. In 5 years it will be just another quarter of Abu Dhabi...
