Quite hard to shop for souvenirs in Abu Dhabi - not much variety compared to other places. But you can get some nice souvenirs - T-shirts, coffee pot, genie bottle, carpets etc. from Hamdan Center along Sheikh Hamdan Road. You can also get some cheap memorabilia like bottles of sand collected from different emirates and other replicas from a shop called Gift Tower (behind Hamdan Center). There is also another shop called Wonder Gift located at the corner of Hamdan St & Salam St. So happy souvenir-shopping!
T-shirts, camel statues, replica of Burj al-Arab, postcards, genie lamp, sand from different emirates (different colors) etc.
Few dirhams to couple of tens of dirhams... depending on what you want to buy. Theme: Other

Regarded as one of the cheapest shopping centres in town, but lacking most things designer.
. It houses 3 Floors of supermarket, clothings, furniture and electronics on the basement level. Value for money store.
A cafe, music shop and all the usual outlets are present, with a ground floor supermarket. Theme: OtherDirections: Behind East Road & Al Falah Street, near Habib Bank.

Located on Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum St.t (Old Airport Road) in the block between Zayed the 2nd St. (Electra) and Al Falah St. Toys and clothing for infants and children.

Located on Zayed the 1st St. (Khalidiyah) in the block between 26th St. (Abdel Aziz) and Al Khaleej Al Arabi St. Children's shoes and Buster Brown brand clothing.

This complex has a lot of sports stores selling fake stuff that looks its the real thing :)

Everything is available from small boutiques to designer stores

You can buy Arabic perfumes and incense inside the mall.

As I learned, every town in Arabic world has its own Souq or local market.
The one in Abu Dhabi is interesting to see but unless you want to save money and buy "Adibos" running shoes - I wouldn't recommend shopping there.
