AL Falah Plaza: the cheapest shopping centres in town

Regarded as one of the cheapest shopping centres in town, but lacking most things designer.
. It houses 3 Floors of supermarket, clothings, furniture and electronics on the basement level. Value for money store.
What to buy: A cafe, music shop and all the usual outlets are present, with a ground floor supermarket.
Marina Mall: Shopping
You can find the most common chain stores here, as well as few locals ones. There is a food court and kids amusement area.
What to buy: You can buy Arabic perfumes and incense inside the mall.
What to pay: Average UAE mall prices. More expensive than UK for clothing but sales are on regularly.
Hamed Centre: Cheap items
Hamed Centre - Open 0900-1300, 1630-2230 daily
Sheikh Zayed 2nd Street, near East Road. A wide range of outlets, from an Arabic music shop, to jewellery and well-priced casual wear. Coffee shop with good Arabic coffee.

Marina Mall: is more than a shopping destination
Situated on the Abu Dhabi Breakwater and surrounded by the azure water of the Arabian Gulf, it is a wonderful location for the entire family to visit and enjoy. The opening of the Mall in March 2001 its landmark four levels, a musical fountain and white-tented rooftops, the Marina Mall is a shopper’s paradise. Overlooking the skyline of Abu Dhabi, it is home to IKEA, Carrefour, a very large selection retail outlets, coffee shops, restaurants, as well as leisure and entertainment facilities.
With parking bays, and underground basement, there is more than sufficient parking space for all visitors.

There is also a Cinestar Cinema located in the mall as well as a food court. Also, a revolving tower restaurant is currently being developed. An indoors ski slope is also under construction.

AD Souq: Traditional Market
Souk is the Arabic word of market or place where any kind of goods are bought or exchanged.
There are different souks:
Before we had a very nice traditional Old Central Souk: Sheikh Hamdan Street.where you can find souviners and other very cheap stuf. The goverment decided to renew the Souq and to build it as the attached design.
Acutly the AD Souk is not yet finished but it will be acomplished within few years Y 2011. However, you can go to the rest of souk like al meana, fish Market, Iranian Market..etc.
What to buy: Fish Market: at Al Meena area you can buy fresh fish, lobaster, shrims...etc there also you can ask the seller to grill what you choose.
Iranian Souk: at Al Meena area you will have a wide range of goods of very cheap rate pargain as much as you can.
Meena Souk: at Al Meena Road you can buy carpets, rugs,cookware,..etc
Fish, Meat & produce Souk: Between Al Istiglal and Al Nasr street.
Mwaifa Souk: Sheikh Khlifa Bin Zayed Souk.
What to pay: You have to use either US dollar or UAE dirhams mostly people use the UAE Dirhams currency.
AL Raha Mall: Quite and pleaseant shopping
The Al Raha Shopping Mall located adjacent to the beautifully landscaped Al Raha Hotel and Resort and the Al Raha Beach Villa Complex.Al Raha area is the gateway to the city of Abu Dhabi.
Al Raha Mall situated in the idyllic Al Raha beach enchanting beach front for fun and frolic.The Mall has three levels and house more than 100 outlets with brands of international repute and also feature a Lulu hypermarket. Morover, an extensive food court with more than 25 multicuisine outlets fo fine dining with a choice of restaurants.

Liwa Centre: Home Center Furniture
Jewellery, clothes, top of the range make-up and perfumes and a well-stocked book shop. Food court on the second level, plus coffee shop open until midnight.

Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre and Gold Centre: You can pargen
Two shopping center beside each other one has various ttype of shops and the second one is mainly for gold and furniture. The building is an Arabic Islamic style.The Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre and Gold Centre is a vast retail complex. It offer shoppers an opportunity to shop in major international and local outlets for fashion, perfumes, cosmetics, shoes, watches, electronics, cafes , etc.
What to buy: You can find anything from gold to textiles, electrical goods, gifts, jewellery, perfume and food items.
What to pay: You must use cash few shops has the credit card facility while in Gold center most of the shops has it.
Almuhairy centre: Delicious Chocolate Factory
Al Muhairy Centre consists of 4 components; Residential Flats, offices, shopping mall and two levels of car parking.The retail complex four levels and overlooking Al Hosn Fort Cultural Foundation.
For the family entertainment FunWorld occupies the whole of the first floor of the shopping mall and introduces various entertainment games as well as educational entertainment for children. It also provides a Birthday Party Room and it has a coffee shop for
families. Dooby (the bear) is the official character of FunWorld.

Quite hard to shop for souvenirs in Abu Dhabi - not much variety compared to other places. But you can get some nice souvenirs - T-shirts, coffee pot, genie bottle, carpets etc. from Hamdan Center along Sheikh Hamdan Road. You can also get some cheap memorabilia like bottles of sand collected from different emirates and other replicas from a shop called Gift Tower (behind Hamdan Center). There is also another shop called Wonder Gift located at the corner of Hamdan St & Salam St. So happy souvenir-shopping!
What to buy: T-shirts, camel statues, replica of Burj al-Arab, postcards, genie lamp, sand from different emirates (different colors) etc.
