    Gold Souk

    by Cielo_Algaeed Updated Apr 2, 2007

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Gold Souks - UAE is known to be one of the best places to buy Gold and so, gold souks can be found all over UAE. The price flactuates coz it is based on the daily international gold rate.

Fine pieces of jewelry can be found in Madinat Zayed Gold Center. from Yellow to White Gold, from pealrs to semi precious stones. Name it and they have it.

It needs a bargaining power to get a good price.

    What to buy: Jewelry

Abu Dhabi Mall & Marina Mall: Shopping malls

by zuyao Updated Mar 18, 2007

Abu Dhabi Mall and Marina Mall are the two biggest shopping centers in Abu Dhabi. Nice place to hang out for the weekend and enjoy a cup of coffee. Personally, I prefer Marina Mall which has more food outlets and more selection of shops. The usual brands like LV, Giordano, G2000, Bossini can easily be found in the malls in Abu Dhabi. There's an Ikea in Marina Mall.

I spent the entire evening window-shopping at both malls and had a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Nothing great about this malls (compared to other cities) but it provides an escape from the desert!

  • Souq

by Srechko Updated Apr 3, 2005

As I learned, every town in Arabic world has its own Souq or local market.

What to buy: The one in Abu Dhabi is interesting to see but unless you want to save money and buy "Adibos" running shoes - I wouldn't recommend shopping there.

Everything is very cheap though and you can buy almost anything.
