Etihad Airways is the flag carrier of United Arab Emirates (UAE). They have just started their operation recently but the service, quality of food and aircarft is at par with other leading carriers in the world.
The whole cabin has a cream and white mottif which made it so refreshing to the eyes. Spacious seat for economy class, great inflight meals with menu selection and individual tv monitor (bigger than the usual-about 12 inches) with the latest movies and music plus games for kids.
Would definitely consider this airline again im ny future trip.

Renting a car when travelling overland to/from or around UAE is way too cheap than travelling by taxi (limo)
From Dubai Airport Abu Dhabi (airport) we rented a private car which only cost us 150 Dirhams for one whole day not including the gasoline.
There are other rent a car company like Hertz and Avis but it is more expensive.

From Riyadh to Abu Dhabi, we took Saudia Airlines . This is the second time i tried Saudi Arabia's national flag carrier. Personally, the service and food for First class was great (during the first tiem i travel from Manila to Riyadh) but for their economy which i tried recently, the aircraft was really bad. Malfunctioning aircondiontioned, average taste of food and the flight attendants look very tired and exhausted. Theme: Airplane

Al Ain International Airport at Abu Dhabi was a common stop over for flights between Asia and Europe.
Nowadays, with long haul flights between cities such as Singapore and KL, Abu Dhabi is more of a scheduled stop over.
The beautiful interior decor is very impressive and is in the geometric designs so common to Islam architecture. Leave a Comment

I took a taxi when I was getting around in the city, their taxi are uniformed good in the sight,
you can find them anywhere in the city, the first meter fare it cost 2dirham. Theme: Other

Al Ghazal Express is a new taxi service launched recently. The initial fare in a private taxi starts from Dh2, charging 50 fails for each kilometer traveled. The Al Gazelle Express, however, does offer a competitive fare structure, starting with just Dh2 and Dh1 per kilometer thereafter, during the day. Between the hours of midnight and 6am, the fare shoots up with Dh4 being the initial charge and Dh1 per kilometer thereafter. Currently they are using new Toyota Camry vehicles. When travelling around Abu Dhabi I tend to walk the streets to catch a cab, (Grab the Gold and white cabs).
Try to avoid Gazzelle cabs as these are far more expensive then the ones that you pick up on the streets and seem to be available outside all the hotels. Be sure when you get in the taxi, you know where you are going to on the other end. Most drivers only speak limited English. They can get you to a specifice area, such as Khalidya or the Corniche, but you will have to direct them the rest of the way, unless you are going to an obvious city landmark, like the mall or government buildings. There are street names and numbers, but no one uses them here. There are no street addresses, only PO Boxes which makes it hard to get around at first. Theme: Car/Motor Home
