Favorite thing: Upon entering Al Ain, this is the first thing you'll read: a large brown sign with the above text.
Straight after that, you'll notice signs asking you to "please use seat belt and be safe". GOSH! Isn't Al Ain just such a friendly little place? LOL! ;-)
On my photo you'll see an example of these very useful brown tourist signs. They point-out most of the sights in the city, as well as many of the large hotels as well. Follow these signs and you won't get lost. If all else fails, follow the signs to "Town Centre" and ask one of the friendly locals!
Just keep in mind that it's better if men approach men, and women approach women. This is a Muslim society and you'll ensure that nobody feels offended and will be glad to help you with directions.
Fondest memory: I think this is a great idea and they are very easy to follow, in this city of "gardens and roundabouts" (remember: UAE traffic circulation is on the RIGHT; and those driving INSIDE the roundabout have right-of-way.)
Once you leave Al Ain, you'll notice a large blue sign declaring "Peace be with You".
Awwwwwww, isn't that nice?!?!

Favorite thing: If you are driving to Al Ain, you can forget about maps! The town is quite small and easy to drive around. The authorities have erected many brown signboards showing the locations/ directions to all the main tourist attractions of Al Ain. All you need to do is just follow those signboards and you won’t be lost!
