Ajman the smallest of the seven emirates lies just eight kilometers north of Sharjah. Many roads lead to and from Ajman from both Sharjah, Dubai, and Umm al Quwain including Emirates Road.
Driving into Ajman city from Sharjah brought us to the Corniche with a fine sandy beach on one side and the city spread out on the other. Then the way lied along the Arabian Gulf Road up to the Kempinski Ajman Hotel which is located on the small peninsula at the Ajman Khor. Then we went to the Old city where the Ajman Museum is located in an old fort in the central square. Then we came back to the E11 Emirates Highway where we saw the Sheikh Zayed Ajman Mosque from aside.
You can watch my 3 min 58 sec HD Video Ajman Along by bus out of my Youtube channel with Hussein El Masri – Wa Hallaftak (I asked you).

A very helpful little novelty can be found at most of Ajman's main intersections/junctions:
--> there are the traffic lights that count-down the seconds until the lights change from red to green or vice-versa from green to red.
This way, you know exactly how much time you still have to cross a green light, and how much longer you have to wait for it to turn green.
I'm quite sure that if this system were to also be implemented in Dubai, there'd be far fewer accidents at traffic lights when people come to a screeching, tyre-smoking halt when the lights suddenly turn red.
I took this picture on the main road of Ajman, heading towards the Ajman City Centre Mall.
