Where better to eat a KFC?

Ok, ok. So a KFC is maybe nothing to write about. You go to an exotic location such as the United Arab Emirates and what do you eat? KFC!
That said, we have been to this fast food joint every year since 1999 and we still love it. After gorging on haute cuisine at the Meridian it's good to tuck into good old Kfc once in a while.
Eat in, or take away. They even deliver... wonder if they'll deliver to the UK?
3 pieces of freshly cooked chicken (normal or extra spicy), french fries, a bap (thats a bread roll to you), medium coke and a tub of coleslaw. All this for under £2.30 ($3.30?). Oh, and they throw in a tissue and wet-wipe too!
Right next door is a Pizza Hut which, so I am told, is just as good.

Favorite Dish: What else but 3 pieces and fries!

    Fantastic New Restaurant

    by dave.richards Written Jul 12, 2006

Almost hidden behind the drive-thru KFC in the heart of Fujairah is a new and fantastic restaurant.
They serve local, Indian and International food at very reasonable prices. Downstairs has an almost coffee-shop feel to eat while upstairs has more of the normal restaurant touch.
I went there this year with 3 Arabic friends. We all had 1st courses, mains, desserts, coffee and a hubble-bubble pipe and the whole lot cost less than £20 (UAD130).

Favorite Dish: I chose the grilled chicken and fries. Half a chicken, flattened and grilled barbecue style. A cup of Arabic coffee (very strong and sweet) rounded the meal off.

The arab peninsula's cuisine haven't a lot of plates so the most popular cuisine is the lebanon and indian foods.
In this restaurant u can choose between the international dishes and a perfect lebanon cuisine....the chef came from Beirut, but he lived for 14 years in Italy ( the pasta dishes are well cooked, in the true italian way!!!), but lebanon griled meet, hummus, tajina are perfect...and you can drink a cold beer....at the end a good arab cofee and you can smoke also shisha ( Narghilla) on a beautifull terrace in front of the sea!

Favorite Dish: My lebanon friend prepare for us a special meal, but I love hummus and tajina to le the fingers

Taj Mahal Restaurant: Havin a hard time finding a place to eat in Fuj..?

    Taj

First of all it was very hard to find a place to eat looking just slightly attractive not having to pay a full load of money at the hotel restaurants...

Service was quite nice and the food not bad - lots to chose from, mainly Indian, some asian and vegetarian choises as well. Oh, not to forget, they have Hagendaz icecream too!

    And then, its cheep!

If Indian is not your choise of food, there is Pizza Hut and KFC nearby....
