Located at the Clock Tower, Sharjah, the Restaurant offers traditional South Indian food in a neat atmosphere.
Specialities are Tiffin items in the morning and Evening. Though Thali is offered, it cannot be compared to their Indian equivalent in taste.
The restaurant has a sweets counter to offer Indian sweets.
Overall the ambience, service, hygiene and prices are good.
Favorite Dish: Kuzhai puttu with Kondakadalai

It is a cafe and a Restaurant serving local/Middle Eastern Dishes. You have a hot drink like Sahlab or Karkadiah or Karawiah. If you want to sample some thing local as a snack than try Bagellah (boiled beans) or checkpeas, both are tasty and healthy. if you are after a full meal, try harissa; you may want to tell them NOT to add any oil or butter on it if you are looking for some thing healthy or if you are on a diet. You can set in-doors or out doors. It is great for people watching when the weather is pleasent. You can play cards, Backgammon, dominoes and chess.
This is a very nice place to set during the period from October until the end of March.
This resturant is located on Lake khalid in front of Alboom resturant

For 2 hours before Ramadan Iftar (or breaking of fast), we were practically lazing, lounging and wandering around Qanta Al Qasba as most stores and restaurants are still closed for Ramadan. One hour before Iftar, we were poking our heads into each of the restaurants (situated by the lagoon) to ask if they have Iftar Buffet.
Buffet prices range from $15 to $50. But since we consider ourselves as small-eaters as well as budget-eaters, we realized that we won't get our money's worth with buffets. And so we went for the Ramadan Iftar at a restaurant called 1.618.
I must say that it was definitely worth the wait. We enjoyed a sumptuously healthy, contemporary mediterranean kind of food in a modern-contemporary orange, fuschia and gray setting.
Favorite Dish: I loved the Harira soup - a traditional moroccan soup with a dash of lemon.
I also loved the Grilled Chicken with bronzed onion and raisin sauce, complete with saffron couscous rice.
While my friends enjoyed Roast Lamb Leg with moroccan prunes.
For dessert, we had fresh fruits topped with ice cream of our choice.
And to complete the already perfect dinner, i had Moroccan Tea while the others had Turkish Coffee.
Everything was just perfectly cooked. Service was a bit slow though... But the waiters kept on assuring us that our food is almost coming. Again, i think it was worth the wait.

As we were shopping around at Sharjah Mega Mall, we came across the Chinese restaurant in the food court. The taste of the food was surprisingly good for a place that has fast food restaurants on it's left and right. They give you the food in disposaple plastic plates with plastic cutlery though which is a little bit strange.
Favorite Dish: Chicken Manchurian

Chilis is a chain of restaurants, and one of the best. The food is always well cooked and so plentiful. The service is excellent and the prices reasonable. I have never had a bad meal whether in the Gulf or Egypt.
The restaurant in the Sahara Mall in Sharjah is on the top floor and overlooks a stone garden. the tables are mosaic, and the decor is typical of Chilis with Mexican/ US posters with quirky humour.
Favorite Dish: I order Guiltless Chicken which is a large grilled chicken breast with rice and vegatables [broccoli, courgettes and carrots] and a mouth-melting piece of corn on the cob.

There are many cheap and tasty Indian and Pakistani restaurants in Sharjah, and most meals go for around 6 AED's ( AED 3.6=USD 1.00). These meals are huge and very good value.
The restaurant I prefer is called the Telal Pakistani and is always full at meal times (a sure sign that it is good). They also serve Chinese meals.
Free home delivery.
Favorite Dish: They have specials daily but my fav is the Chicken Jalfrazi.
