UAE travellers who thought Europe is too far a destination to be affordable will be glad to know that Air Arabia LLC, the Middle East first low fares carrier flies twice weekly to Istanbul, also known as the 'Gateway to Europe'.
UAE travellers can reach Istanbul with Air Arabia & travel onward to key European cities with different low fares airlines.
Nizar Head of Sales for Air Arabia said 'Sabiha Gokcen International Airport is currently served by several low fare European carriers making it an ideal gateway for travellers looking for the best deals to travel to cities in UK, Germany, Holland, Italy and Switzerland'.
Low fares carriers that operate from Istanbul are Easyjet (www.easyjet.com), Germanwings (www.germanwings.com), Corendon (www.corendon.com), Condor (www.condor.com), Hapagfly (www.hapagfly.com).
'All these low fare airlines offer attractive rates for passengers to travel to European cities and tickets can be easily booked and paid online' says Recai Yilmaz Marketing Manager for Sabiha Goken airport.
Air Arabia holiday package to Istanbul also allows travellers to take short breaks over the week end to one of three European capitals of culture. Air Arabia flies twice weekly to Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Istanbul every Thursday and Sunday departing Sharjah at 22:15 to arrive in Istanbul at 01:40am and then depart Istanbul every Friday and Monday at 02:20am to arrive in Sharjah at 07:30am.

Infact it's just 30 minuts away from the cities.We left and landed here from Sanaa with air arabia.Evene if the airport is not as huge as the Dubai one, it's big enough to be a low cost one. Leave a Comment

Destinations
Air Arabia is the first air lines of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and is focused on catering to flights within the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. It currrently has flights to Bahrain, Egypt, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. All flights provided by Al-Arabia are flown onboard a modified Airbus A320, which contains a total of 150 seats instead of 189 seats, So more leg space for tall travelers :-)
Air Fares (Ticket Prices)
As Air Arabia provides only the essentials needed for travelling, it has air fares that are normally 40% cheaper than other traditional airlines. Its fares are quoted on one-way basis, excluding taxes, fees and charges. The advantage of the one-way fare is to allow travellers to choose whether they wish to return and on what date. The initial fare quoted by Al-Arabia will increase as less seats are available on a particular flight, so its essential to book early to ensure the lowest cost of tickets.
The Differences
Being a no-frills airlines, Air Arabia has a number of differences comparing to other commercial airlines:
A ticket is lost if the flight is missed and you can only change a ticket less than 24-hours before the flight.
The check-in counter is closed 45 minutes before a flight.
It is a ticket-less airlines, so all that is needed to check-in is a copy of the confirmation reference.
Each adult or child ticket gets 20 to 30 kilos in check-in baggage and 7 kilos in carry-on baggage.

You can take min bus from Deira bus and taxi station near the intersection of Omar ibn al-Khattab and Al-Rigga Road. The fare is 5 Dh and its take aboutn 30-45 mins. The rate between Sharjah Airport and Abo Dhabi or Al Ain is 35 Dh. This is can be paid directly in the bus, air arabia transfer service, @ Sharjah Airport or @ sales offices in Abu Dhab and Al Ain. The drop off/Pick up will be @ sales offices in Abu Dhab and Al Ain.

There are 2 types of taxis in Sharjah - metered and un-metered. Metered are very cheap compared to taxis in the U.K. and are clean, usually reliable. A lot of the time they don't know where they're going and take you the long way around. Un-metered taxis are a lot more fun. If you're travelling within Sharjah, don't expect to pay more than 10 dhs. We pay 5 for a 10/15 minute journey. You have to haggle or they'll rip you off. For example, to get from our apt. to the shopping mall we always pay 5 dhs but every taxi that stops says 10 initially. If they say 10 final offer, slam the door and they'll honk their horn at you and say o.k 5. As soon as you shut the door, they know there;s no messing. Mwa ha ha. May seem really cheap to haggle down to what is less than a pound, but it's what the price is and you shouldn't pay more. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
