Favorite thing: This water park is located next to Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach hotel. It has some pretty good rides, a wave pool and artificial surf waves. We had a pretty good time in this park for a whole day. It costs 95 Dhs (about 28€) to get in and lockers cost another 5 Dhs. They have an excellent system when it comes to lockers and buying food inside the park but I will not get into details. I thought it was a pretty fun park and the best thing: there were not that many people in the park and this meant that we didn’t have to wait much to get onto the different rides. They also have the cleanest locker rooms that I have ever seen in a park like this J. You can read more about the park on the following link:http://www.wildwadi.com/
One thing I do enjoy when I travel is food and the Middle East is no exception. The best way to sample the local food is to have a selection of Arabic Meze. Meze are small dishes and dips that are normally served as starters but that are quite filling and can very easily turn into a full meal. All local restaurants should have them as well as room service in most hotels.
My favourite meze are Kebbeh, small meat balls with pine nuts, and Houmous, a chick pea dip. They should come with ample supply of Arabic bread that serves as dip and wrap so that you don't have to use any cuttlery.
Favorite thing: Time Out, who provide one of the most popular "what's on" magazine in London, have branched to Dubai. If you want to know what's on, where and when it is and how to get there, get your copy of Time Out. Your might even get a complimentary copy from your hotel.
Fondest memory: Looking at the sun set over the creek, a cool glass in hand, from the bar of the yacht club is definitely one of my best memories of Dubai. On the skyline, the most obvious landmark are the Emirates Towers, on the left hand side.
The United Arab Emirates have always had a very harsh climate, which prompted the locals in inventing a natural form of air conditioning ages before electricity was invented.
This natural air conditioning is the wind tower. It is a rectangular tower fitted on top of buildings with openings on all four sides. The hot air enters the tower from one side and flows down into the building below. By flowing down, it will cool down significantly and expel the warm air in the building through the opposite opening in the tower. The result is a constant flow of cool air through the building.
Quite interesting museum inside this fort.
Fondest memory: Very ingenious air-conditioned system to be discovered inside Dubai museum.
The whole city seems to emerge from the desert.
It could be sometimes so dusty, that you would think there are only virtual buildings.
A strange experience, i don't recommend to anybody !
Members of the UAE may also fly their own flag.
The Dubai flag is easily spotted as it is commonly flown alongside the country's flag.
The flag's origin is probably based on Dubai's maritime past.
Dubai covered with huge buildings, but seeside is realy fantastic, don't miss that, water is mild and swimming there make you refresh
Fondest memory: clean city, wonderful shopping
Favorite thing: Dubai and the UAE are places "under construction". Gigantic advertising pannels are showing you that everywhere.
Favorite thing: The architecture of Dubai is something that amazed me. Everything is brand new, no history at all: I found whatever you can not find in Europe, and that was such an excellent contrasting experience.
Favorite thing: On the first floor there are 3 rooms. The first room of the entrance with the desk, group meubles.. The second room is with a sofa, TV chair and back the kitchen
Look at the colors and symetry.. The picture is taken from the terraces..
The second floor consists of Shops, rest cafe and elevators to the rooms..
Favorite thing: When you pass from the entrance, you need to go up for the second floor through a lift.. And the vindows near the lifts are Aquarium with very nice fishes inside..
When you enter to the Burj al arab hotel, spare some time to watch the dancing water..
Such an amazing show that you wont forget..
