When I crave for steaks and the budget does not allow, I just turn my way towards Chilis restaurant. Not much expensive but, be ready that this resto may not reach your expectation for the real steak that you want. just fine!!

YUM! is on the ground floor of Radisson Blu Deira Creek. While there for dinner, I noticed a big group of two families with children who all enjoyed Asian foods - and these kids are trilingual (Arabic, German and English). It was quite interesting to observe them (without them noticing it of course).
YUM! offers healthy, noodle-based dishes. I had roasted duck though. YUM! is known for quick meals so if you work nearby or close to Al-Ghurair shopping mall, then try YUM!. It is open for lunch and dinner from noon till 1 a.m.
Favorite Dish: I had roasted duck. Quite good. Had Chinese beer too :D

There are many Filipinos who work in Dubai and consequently to meet the demand for Filipino foods, some Filipino grocery stores and restaurants have been established. I believe the widest chain of Filipino restaurants these days is the Golden Fork Restaurant.
Filipinos like to eat out in the Philippines and are used to spending some good quality time in the restaurants. So if you are in a hurry, you have to advise the waiters/waitresses that you do not have much time and would like to be served and pay as immediate as possible.
Menu offers authentic Filipino foods. And you'll be given a towelette to clean your hands before eating and another one after eating. They will also serve you bread (on the house - I believe) as you wait for your food. Service charge is included in the bill.
Favorite Dish: Pancit Bihon and fresh avocado juice. Why I find it so good? Well, they're some of my favourites back home.

The Fish Market is known to be an award-winning seafood restaurant which is located in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek.
You get to handpick the vegetables that you would like to go with the seafood you like - everything is fresh of course. Aside from getting a towel to clean your hands, you will be given an apron too so in case you make a little mess with your lobster or what-have-you, it won't leave any stain on your suit or clothes.
And I almost forgot to mention, you get a nice view of the Deira Creek while dining.
Favorite Dish: I forgot the name of the fish I have chosen. I had it grilled and liked it a lot. For a starter, I got some oysters which I enjoyed with lemon and tabasco.

This is a hidden gem as we called it. They have recently opened and its a couple from the UK who are very friendly and welcoming. They explained to us the reason for opening was to cater for the masses on British expats who are here in Dubai who all miss the traditional style Indian Curry and balti from the UK. This means your common favorites on the menu.
The restaurant is accomodating about 30 people and its ambience is very cosy and warm.
The food is to die for and very filling at a very modest price. Also finally a place which sells proper mint sauce not the common milk sauce you get anywhere else. Just that in the chutney tray and those large cispy poppadoms is even to make order everything of the menu!
They import in the spices etc to make sure its as good as the UK. Even the chefs are from the UK.
Very well executed restaurant and a very good market as we were amazed you could get this food out here after trying many other Indian restaurants with no avail.
The fact you are made to feel very welcomed and they bend over backwards to make sure you are okay was a treat as many restaurant is Dubai seem to lack the service standards we are used to.
Favorite Dish: The basic chicken tikka massala is awesome as its very tasty and just like the UK. And the meat is all off the bone!! Freshly cooked and to top it off a fraction of the price of the other badly executed Indian restaurants in Dubai. Like we said a hidden Gem!!

More Cafe has 4 branches here in Dubai and serves tasty food at reasonable prices to eat in or take away. The cafes also display art works and showcase different artist's creations such as furniture and clothing.
We had the pie, soup and salad combo at AED49 which was very tasty and filling. The menu also has a great range of food and drink such as salads, sandwiches, soups, mains, all day breakfasts, desserts, coffees and cold drinks. You can also buy breads, ice-creams, coffees and chocolates to take away.
There is also a Friday (Garhoud and Marooj Locations) and Saturday (G & D Park location) Brunch for AED95 serving a fully cooked breakfast, pastries and other dishes. Brunch is from 11am-4pm.
Cafes are located in Garhoud (8am-10pm) (next to Aviation Club), Gold and Diamond Park (7am-9pm) (Sheikh Zayed Rd), Al Marooj (next to Dusit Hotel) (9am-9pm) and Dubai Mall (8am-11pm).

Ravi is indeed a Dubai institution and serves tasty and cheap Pakistani food!!! The restaurant has two buildings, the left hand side one is for families and the other for mostly local batchelors. You can also choose to sit outside if you can bear the Dubai heat. Don't go there expecting elegant surroundings, as you'll be very disappointed, but you will have a great meal!
We went at around 2.30am, so could only really order what was left - a tasty mutton curry and a chicken one, rice and naan bread - total cost AED39!! Bargain!
Open daily from 5am - 3am.
Favorite Dish: Mutton curry

Having gone to Souk Al Bahar to see the magnificent fountain, my partner and I stumbled across Mirai restaurant and we were astounded by the food and decor. Why had we not heard about this gastronomic delight before? It turns out Mirai has only been open for 3 weeks, we were there on a Thursday night and for a new place it was busy! The decor is super sleek, lots of red and black, Phillipe Starke furniture and beautiful hanging lanterns illuminate the space.
The food is amazing and it turns out that the chef had been executive chef at Nobu Park Lane London for many years previous to coming to Dubai, we wanted more of everything that came to the table as it was delicious and perfectly executed. Our waiter asked us to leave room for dessert which was great advice as the chocolate fondant should not be missed. The staff at Mirai are well informed and incredibly sweet, our waiter was of great assistance throughout the night, as was the sommelier who helped us chose our sake.
Favorite Dish: Scallop with Foie Gras and Jalapeno sauce. This is one of the best dishes I have ever had the combination of juicy scallops teamed with foie gras really works, the flavours are amazing.
