Wafi Center: Exotic origins
So big that each sector may be treated differently, we passed along China, India, Egypt, Russia, I don't know what else, always inside the same shopping mall. Wafi Center is really big, has all the common shops of western malls and reinforces the sensation that shopping is always the same, either in your street or in Dubai. The only real difference is decoration, and the money spent to make you believe that the place where you are IS the right place to leave your money.

All decent shops are here.: Mall of the Emirates
This isn't a shop it's the largest mall I have ever visited resplendent with it's own ski slope. The ski slope is an interesting site, if you can get past the damage it must be causing to the climate. It is surrounded by a Alpine ski chale facade and in fact you can sit next to a vistual log fire and watch everyone skiing. I'd love to say it isn't as cheesy as it sounds but it is. I would still make the effort to have a look at the slopes. Away for the central attraction there is every store imaginable. If shopping is your thing I suspect you could spend weeks (and a not so small fortune) within the walls of the mall.

Whatever takes your fancey but I wouldn't come looking for bargains

    As much as you want.

Superb & fascinating Ibn Battuta Mall
Ibn Battuta is an impressive Mall dedicated to Ibn Battuta travels in the Middle Age.

Ibn Battuta was the Marco Polo of Orient. He visited Andalusia, Tunisia, Egypt, Persia, India and China.

Indeed the Mall has 6 Courts, each of one dedicated to the six destinations of Ibn Battuta.

The decoration of each one of the Courts is exquisite.

Festival City Mall: by the waterfront
This new shopping area has everything from Ikea to Body Shop, marks and Spencer to Monsoon, as well as restaurants, a gold market and other companies are coming soon.
There are several wings to the mall and the decor is effective, Where shops have not yet opened there are colourful murals.Water features add to its charm.
All the shops we entered were bright and modern, and assistants helpful. At Jaber Optics the techician fitted new bits to hold my glasses on to my nose for free. I'd gone in to price new frames, but hadn't enough cash on me to buy. Now I don't need to.

    as much as in UK
