Many souks sell shishas you can find of any size and price. As we decided to get back home with a shisha, we visited several shops and souks before deciding what to buy. What we found out is that most shishas sold in souks are done in Romania or Czech republic, which disappointed us as it seemed a nonsense to buy a local craft done in europe. At the end we found our made in Egypt shishas at the international airport and paid them less than the price told us at souks.

City Centre by najamrulz City centre is Dubai's largest and most popular shopping mall. It is also said to be largest shopping mall in Middle East. It always remains crowded with thousands of people busy in shopping here. Here you can buy anything ranging from a cheap item costing one dirham to luxurious expensive item costing millions of dirhams. Carrefour, Debenhams, BHS and IKEA few of the most famous names inside city centre. Trip to Carrefour is must as it offers most reasonable prices and you can do most of your shopping from here.
No doubt it is the best place for shopping where so many options are available just under one roof. There are so many outlets that one get tired after walking so much. And it becomes very difficult to locate the shops. You can get map of city centre at main gate. Just keep this map with you and for assistance consult customer services counters at each floors. Most of world's famous brands have their outlet here. Every kind of items are available here. 240 shops, restaurants, food court, five star Sofitel hotel, 11 cinemas , rest rooms, family rooms, mother child rooms, telephone, ATM, currency exchange and huge car parking are few of the services available. Often many TV programs are recorded at city centre. During DSF, DSS and Ramadan special live shows are also arranged here. There is so much variety that one gets in trouble about what to buy and what to leave. I have lost words here and I wonder what to wrire and what not to write. All i can say is that you have to experience the right kind of shopping yourself at city centre next time when you are in Dubai.
Prices are fixed every where so there is no bargain game. Pay whatever the price say. It is so simple :-) Leave a Comment

Inside City Center by Erkmen When I was in dubai, I was expecting a shopping paradise, however I must admit that I am a bit disappointed. The prices of electronics and Cameras vary each and every store. Generally cellphones, digital cameras, Playstation II, DVD and Home theater systems are cheaper.. You can make your electronics shopping at City center Shopping mall or at Dubai Duty free center..
If you want to buy digital Camera Dubai duty free has the best prices... If you want to buy cellphones, The phones at carrefour are cheaper.. Also the Playstation II If you want to buy DVD or Home theater systems, try the second floor of City Center. (City Center is a shopping mall) Near the food center of second floor there is a shop for electronics and watch out for the campaigns
Cellphones are around 30% cheaper due to zero tax.. Digital Cameras vary from 400- 800 USD... But cheaper than it is in Europe.. If you catch a good campaign, you will pay almost nothing for DVDs and home theaters Leave a Comment

sishaaa by Laerke Itıs cheap and there s lots of souvenirs and copy stuff - but watch out for the quality! However, it is probably the best spot to buy sishas (water pipe/ hookah) - go for the cristal base ones if you re planning to use it. Go for the longlasting coal and the two apple tobacco. It is best not to use different tobacco flavour for the same pipe - local advice. Make sure the plastic mouth pieces fit the pipe.
Sishas in Karama. Nuts and spices at Spice Souk or Airport. Cheap alcohol from the airport! Electronics at Al nasr square - remember to bargain hard.
140 dhs with tobacco and coal with a lot of bargaining. Leave a Comment Theme: Local CraftAddress: karama

This shopping mall in Deira has EVERYTHING you could want. From clothing, dvds, cds, and toys, to perfume, food, and presents. If you're from the U.K you'll find many familiar shops - Next, Lush, Virgin Megastore, Build-A-Bear Factory, BHS, Top Shop. There's a huge Ikea here which can get as crowded as the ones in the U.K, and a massive Carrefour, selling food, magazines, homeware, clothes. Lots of cafes and food places. Magic Planet has games, rides, bowling, a cinema - everything to keep your kids busy. It's located next to the food court. Arabian Treasures sells Arabian gifts (many of which come from India?), including wooden camels, shishas, decorative dishes, cushion covers. However, it does get really busy and is always full of tourists. You could wander around this place for hours, so if you're only in Dubai for a week, avoid it as it'll take up too much of your time and you'll feel like you're at home, whether you're from England, America or any other western country.
Build A Bear store - they have toy camels here which I've not seen in the UK or US stores.
Cheap to expensive - really does vary. Leave a Comment Theme: Department StoreAddress: DeiraPhone: 04-295 1010Directions: By the Creek, on Al Ittihad Road.Website: www.deiracitycentre.com

One of gold shops in Gold Souk by najamrulz Gold Souk with its narrow streets is Dubai's most famous market. It is located in Deira district near Dubai Creek. Gold prices here are among the lowest in the world. There is much variety of gold here that I have seen people getting confused about what to buy and what to leave.
Here you would find many shops lined with bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings in 18, 21 and 22 carat normal and white gold. You can also buy 24 carat bars in any form and weight.
Prices over here are very reasonable. Mostly they determine the price here by weight instead of design or craftsmanship. But here you have to bargain a lot. Simply suggest the price which you feel is justified. If they agree then buy gold otherwise move to next shop. Leave a Comment Theme: JewelryAddress: Near Creek , Deira, Dubai.

On the road from Dubai to Hatta or Muscat you will pass a set of shops only selling clay pots and carpets. There are around 20 shops over a piece of road about 2 kms long all selling the identical things. Take 10 minutes and stop to see this bizarre shopping experience. The salesmen are not keen on you taking pictures unless you have bought a carpet.
If you do need a carpet the prices will start at 600 dirhams and you can end up paying as little as 150 dirhams depending on how persistent you are. Theme: Home Furnishing

inside the ciy center by Erkmen If you visit Dubai, this is a place where you will come sooner or later.. This is probably main attraction point in the city... Due to hot weather you do chose covered places and Deira City Center is a good alternative. It has more than 240 Shops. IKEA, Woolworth and Carrefour has quiet big areas.. There is also a big entertainment park called Magic planet, where your kids (Even you) can enjoy.. and many food courts, where you can have your meals.. You can also watch the latest movies, and also visit the Textile court and Gold court..
In Carrefour you can find al kind of stuff.. Many known brands has their boutiques inside and also variety of electronics.. Entrance to Wafi City mall by SWFC_Fan The Wafi City shopping mall has a very definite Egyptian feel to it, decorated as it is with a number of ceramic pyramids and Pharoahs! Wafi City is much more than just a shopping mall. While the mall itself is impressive, with over 200 stores and eating establishments, Wafi City also offers a number of other amenities, including: Planetarium nightclub, Planet Hollywood, Pharoahs' Club (fitness centre and gymnasium), "Pyramids" - offering a number of International restaurants, Luxury apartment blocks and a hotel.
Wafi City mall plays host to a vast array of fashion stores, electronics shops, department stores, bookshops, watch shops.... So, you can buy pretty much anything you want there! It is worth visiting the mall near Christmas in order to see the surreal and incongruous sight of snow covered (not real, obviously!) Christmas trees and penguins aside pyramids and sphinxes!
