Jumeirah Beach Park, Dubai
Jumeirah Beach is, of course, one of Dubai’s biggest selling points. It is a beach with beautiful, soft sand that is generally clean, and the waters of the Persian Gulf can often be of a sparkling blue that will surprise many beachgoers. Nevertheless, Dubai can become so hot and humid that I often wonder about the people who decide that they will come here during the summer: at 50 degrees centigrade and 100% humidity, the soft sand can feel like a burning knife cutting into your feet. Bring beach shoes and Gatorade.
Jumeirah Beach Park has one advantage over Jumeirah Beach: you will be obliged to wear shoes here and thus not burn your feet. The park itself is filled with tropical plants and small playgrounds and picnic areas. When I visited on a Friday morning, it was fairly empty, but I’m certain that it fills up during the weekends, particularly on days when it isn’t too hot to be outside.
A nice place for spending a few hours to relax. I really enjoy the walk along the beach whenever I am there, especially in winter when the weather in Dubai is really, really nice.
It soo nice! You can collect beautiful shells, bathe in the warm sea, sleep under a palm tree :-), take pictures, read a good book, practice tai ji...
In for a summer getaway? Jumeirah Open beach is the place to go. This beach is open for public. NO NEED TO PAY AN ENTRANCE FEE. You get a part of the same Dubai sea for no cost at all :-)
i was here early morning, at the open free beach and it was nice seeing the fishermen arriving with these boats back from fishing
