Add some flavor to your dishes, drinks by Zaffron

by 37SingleMaleInDubai1

Many restaurants and coffee shops would welcome your request to add Zaffron to your requested meal, drink. Zaffron is a very unique herb adding a lot of flavor to your food or drink, I have requested for it many times and enjoyed its magnificent taste and flavor :-)In cooking: Saffron has always been used for its winsome color, delightful taste and unique scent. Furthermore, during the last few years, due to people’s growing tendency towards using natural additives instead of chemical or synthetic ones, the number of saffron consumers has shown a steady growth. The usage of saffron in technological and industrial fields is quite common today. Food industries use saffron in the production of sausages and margarine. In dairy (product) factories, saffron is used in the production of butter and cheese. Others use saffron in making cake powder and a variety of desserts. In wine fermentations...

Heart of Dubai

by colin_bramso

Al Khor, The Creek, is the heart of Dubai and the place to start your exploration. Ultra-modern buildings, parks, traditional trading dhows, cargo, bustle, the sights, sounds and smells that say "This is Dubai". I love the atmosphere, the friendliness, the hot sunshine, the exotic sights and smells.

Internet cafes

by colin_bramso

A much better option than internet cafes - unless you want to use MSN Messenger for video link-ups - are the public libraries, or e-libraries. If there's one in the area you're staying in, check it out. They're modern, clean, quiet, reliable and cheap. One hour is Dh3 and two hours is Dh5. (Dh5 is US$1.35).I've used the libraries in Al Wasl Road next to Safa Park and on Jumeirah (Beach) Road in Umm Suqeim, both have excellent facilities.

Blue skies and wonderful beaches

by doreenellen

The sunshine and beaches were wonderful. All the people we met were helpful and attentive, especially in our hotelThis photograph is of the Palm which will hopefully be completed end of 2006There is so much building going on all aound Dubai but particularly along the beach areas. It will be around 8 years before most of the buildings are complete.Palm Islands are expected to open in 2007, will feature a range of luxury hotels, sea village on the trunk of this island, boutique shopping, specialty restaurants and marinas with a range of leisure vessels Exotic aquatic delights including amazing aquariums, a killer whale stadium and engaging dolphins will provide a holiday destination in its own right. You can see from my photograph, there is a lot of building work going on. Everything from the sunshine, kind people, beautiful beaches, warm blue sea, shopping malls and gold souk visit.,all an...

Emirates Mall

by doreenellen

Shopping was excellent. So much choice. This was taken in the Emirates Mall which has only just been opened. with different fashion shops, designers and high street, gifts, jewellery, electrical, toys, furniture, restaurants etc.The newly opened ski slope can be seen from the mall and outside.Ski Dubai has 5 slopes that vary in difficulty, height and steepness, the longest run being 400 meters with a fall of over 60 meters. Test your skills on the world's first indoor black run or practice your turns on the gentle beginner slopes. Skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels will enjoy these various slopes and snowboarders can also practice their stunts on the 90-metre long quarter pipe. Kids and parents alike will have fun in the huge interactive Snow Park, which at 3000 square meters is the largest indoor snow park in the world. People were just staring at the sight before...

Blue Skies, warm sea

by doreenellen

Most of the time tourists would be quite happy to lie on the beach and to swim in the warm blue sea or in the pool. There are several activities to keep you active, like, paragliding, banana boat, speed boat etc. Then the evenings can be free for shopping as the shopping malls open til late, mostly 11 pm.There is a slight tide and was about 4.30pm when we were there. So lazy days and eventful evenings if you like shopping or visiting other hotels. Lovely warm sea and beautiful beaches. Also the attentive staff where ever we went. They could not have been more helpful and kind to us all. Even the children were happy and content where ever we went and were well catered for.Next time we go we may visit the water park which is next door to Jumeirah Beach Hotel for the children and big kids too.
