    Dubai, has an excellent nightlife scene (except for Monday's which tends to be pretty dead) with a large choice of bars and nightclubs for you to be able to enjoy whilst there. Below is a list of some of the more popular bars, with a review that will help you to choose where to go and when. You will need to know that most of the bars that can serve alcohol are only in hotels, there are though a few exceptions, and most of these are reviewed here. Dubai also has some interesting laws regarding clubs; they all must close at 3 am, you must be 21 to drink alcohol, 25 to enter a nightclub, and interestingly they are not allowed by law to refuse entrance to anyone, including members only clubs. Having said that this does not mean that you will be able to walk into any members club free of charge, a lot of the members clubs have very high entrance fees, that they will charge you if you do insist on applying the law and entering the club.
    Personally i do not think any one should waste time in night club , there are other things to enjoy yourself especailly if you are visiting a country for the first time.

    several cafes throughout the city: Dubai is never really asleep

    by chagi1 Written Mar 16, 2003

    There are several "shisha" shops. These are the middle eastern smoking "systems" that are quite popular around Dubai. These types of cafes and many different restaurants and some bars in hotels are open throughout the city... always something to do in Dubai!

    Near Jumairah beach

    Depends what you like really....

    Depends what you like really. Nightlife is hectic, plentiful and very very varied.
    From Indian nightclubs with Indian bands/dancers;
    to Philipino clubs with excellent Philipino covers bands;
    to Irish bars;
    Lebanese clubs/restaurants with bands & bellydancers;
    to Aussie bars;
    to American style bars;
    to salsa bars...you name it. Ask and you will find one to fit your taste.
    International name DJs play here regularly, as do top international bands and artists.
    Planetarium is best decent house/r'n'b club.
    Many military personnel and aircrew like Rock Bottom, which is more of a sweaty get drunk kind of place, but you will make friends quickly.
    Dubai is very multi-ethnic = in many places you will be in a mix of many many nationalities. That is one great thing about here.
    Live bands - many bars have live bands, usually playing covers. Excellent entertainment as they tend to be very accomplished musicians.
    There are even beach dance nights.
    Bear in mind=drug laws here are very strict and severely enforced, so the atmosphere in clubs is very different to Europe/Aus etc

    Dress Code: Smart casual, but depends where you go.
    Trainers and jeans won't get you in anywhere really.
    Some places are very very trendy. Labels can be worn with pride ;)
