    Jumeirah Sceirah - fantastic!

The Wild Wadi is a great waterpark with a great location right by the famous Burj al Arab and Jumeirah Beach hotels. A great way to spend the day. Although, if you travel during the hot summer months when temperatures are regularly in the mid 40s, care is needed to prevent a doze of sun stroke or sun burn. One of the most memorable rides is the Master Blaster where you sit in a dinghy and are actually propelled up a slide by powerful water jets. There is also the Jumeirah Sceirah (the highest and fastest free fall water slide outside north America), a large wave pool and lazy river among several other attractions in the park. Tip - Be sure to adjust your swimming costume before standing up after riding the Jumeirah Sceirah.

If you are looking for a fabulous place to escape the heat of Dubai, this is the place. Wild Wadi is a water theme park for people of all ages. I thought it was totally awesome. The park has an amazing slide that plunges 27 metres and which has you hurtling down it at a top speed of 80 km's per hour. It's one hell of a scary slide and one that I was not brave enough to attempt. There are so many rides here ranging from the gentle flood river ride or Juda's Journey where you float along the "river" in a rubber ring or try Breaker's bay, a huge wave pool. The good thing about this wave pool is that you are encouraged to wear life vests and there are plenty on the shore for you to use. An absolute favourite was the wipeout and riptide flowriders. Here you can try body boarding, knee boarding or surfing.

As I said before there is so much to do and see at Wild Wadi that one day will not satisfy you.

Every hour they have a coreographed thunder and lightning show complete with pelting "rain" and flash flooding. Totally awesome..!!

They have lots of food outlets dotted around the park so you'll never go hungry and if carrying cash around with you is a right royal pain, then they have a solution.. You can get a stored value wristband that you can pre load with funds and just scan at the outlets. All in all we had an absolutely fantastic day and wish we had more time to spend there.

The Wild Wadi was great fun....some of the slides went up instead of down !!!! Hardly any lines and you were always in the water - this is what a water park should truly be!

The staff were fantastic and created such a good atmosphere!

The toilet /change rooms were continually being cleaned.

If you are a guest you have free use of the water park all day.

I never knew that you could travel up a waterslide. They have a waterslide that you sit on a raft and are propelled up the slide to the top where you can ride another slide back down- sure beats climbing stairs in a big line. Very fun park, especially when it is 110+ degrees out.

This waterpark is across the Burj: 12 acres of waterfalls, whitewater rapids, colossal waves, hanging bridges, tropical vegetation, lagoons, and all sorts of fun water-rides. We visited the W.W. our last Dubai trip and the timing was perfect - during mid-summer in July/August the weather was so unbearably hot that the waterpark was plain paradise.

    Attractions:

    JUMEIRAH SCEIRAH
This is the wildest ride of the park: a slide plunging down 27meters with speeds up to 80kph. Make sure when you get off the slide that your bathingsuit is covering you completely. The rush has a tendency to displace swimwear!

    BREAKER'S BAY
Breaker's bay is a wave pool, simulating the open sea. Grab a life-jacket and float.

    JUHA'S JOURNEY (aka LAZY RIVER)
Ashley's all-time favorite, the lazy river gives you an opportunity to leisurely drift along on inflatable rings.

    WIPEOUT AND RIPTIDE
The perfect playground for boogie-boarders - see how long you can fight the waves.

These are only some of the rides - other attractions include the hourly Wadi Wash (a storm that floods the entire park), Juha's Dow & Lagoon, Gift shop, restaurants and snack-shops (serving mostly burgers, pizza, hot-dogs, ice-cream, etc. - pricey though!), etc.

If you are a guest at the adjacent hotels you get free admission to the park. Don't worry about carrying money into the park - every visitor receives an electronic wristband, on which you can store credit. Camera: we kept ours in the locker while we did the rides, then brought it out to circle the park and take our pics. And if you forget your camera: throughout the park, Wadi-photographers take your pics while on the various rides, then tie a band on your wrist, and upon leaving the park, you can check out the photos at the "Souk Al Wadi". There are several options on how they print the pictures, such as keychains, frames, etc. (In typical tourist fashion we bought 2 of the pics - really nice memory!)

Noteworthy: The staff at Wild Wadi is INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful.

    Top Bombing!!

Well, there are a few things to do in Dubai like you must take a Dhow trip, you must visit the Gold Souk but for me, this was the Daddy!

With the largest, highest and scariest slide I have ever been on this is by far the best waterpark I've ever been to. It was cheap for the day and I would never go back to Dubai without taking time out to visit this place.

I liked the fact that you could take a towel, plonk yourself on one of the lovely grassy banks with the water dribbling by and chill at your leisure or jump in one of the big tyres and get jettisoned up the slopes and down a ride of your choice.

It would be absolutely fantastic for kids and if I believe rightly, if you're staying at the Jameira Beach hotel then you get free entry from a private gate so you could pack them off down to the Water Park which looked pretty safe to me with plenty of security and life guards and enjoy your adult time.

    Wild Wadi Way In...

This place is so much fun!! Mainly you'll be surrounded non-locals and ex-pats. So don't expect a taste of local culture. Do expect to go down water rides on a big rubber ring, over and over again. Most are just fast enough to get the adrenaline going, but not really very scary. Good fun for families or just big kids in their 30's!!

I went here expecting just to stay for a few hours and was there for 7, going on the rides right up until the place closed. Do the really big high one, Jumeirah Sceirah, at least once, but once will probably be enough. It is as scary as it looks!! Expect to get a free douche in the process!

A bus is the cheapest way of getting there as a taxi works out much more expensive. Buses take a while, about 30 to 45 minutes, but will cost you just 2 dhiram. It's Route 803 from Al Ghubaiba station in Bur Dubai.

Also, if you go during Ramadan and you are non-Muslim, it is worthwhile knowing that this place still sells food during daytime. Smoking is also permitted.

    Wild Wadi

Located between the Burj Al Arab and The Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Jumeirah, Wild Wadi Water Park is a must see attraction in Dubai. It has different type of rides that suit all ages. Jumeirah Sceirah is the tallest and fastest free-fall speed slide outside North America, cascading a breathtaking 33 metres. It will drive you up to 80 KMs per hour in a great experience. Also you must try other rides like Master Blaster, Ring Rides and FlowRiders. Admision 130 Dhs (US$ 36) per adult. In short, Wild Wadi is a great experience, do not miss it if you visit Dubai.

view of Jumeirah Beach hotel from Wild Wadi

If you are staying at the Jumeirah Beach hotel or the Burj al Arab (My two main recommendations) then you get free access to the Wild Wadi water park - and boy it is almost worth staying there for this alone!
There are numerous 'roller coasters' where you sit in an inflated tyre inner tube and are propelled around - up, down and round. There is a lazy river for when you simply cant be bothered to do anything (like sunbathing - only better - or wetter?) and there is a large freeform pool with very credible waves. Other activities are around and include wake boarding, a surfing area (only if you know what youre doing - cause everyone watching does!) and other stuff like a store etc.
It is brilliant - especially as night falls. One point to look out for is the local weekend when the place is over run with gangs of local blokes - not at all threatening - but extrememly busy.

The best thing for me was seeing a lady in full yashmak and robes going round the rides - good to see that in a country like Dubai, there is still a chance for all sorts to surprise you

Wild Wadi Park is a nice water park located right in front of Dubai's large 7 star Hotel. You may have seen this Hotel on the Travel channel or listed in Magizines. It is beautiful both during the day and at night. The beaches are white sand, and the Sun is good and hot. The persian gulf is extremely salty. It is fun for singles, couples or families. Hope you enjoy it, I did.

View from top of Jumeirah Scarer!
    1 more image

Wild Wadi - best water park ever.
No climbing stairs - you're shot upwards on your tube before shooting back down again.
Some rides pretty hairy, others very tame.
Giant wave pool, fake surf break, lazy river, water cannons, one ride in the dark!
Great for kids obviously but also adults will love it.
    Lots of suncream needed.
    Lockers available.
Cashless system means you wear a wrist band loaded with credits to pay for lockers and food and beverages (junk food only).
The evening is best time to go from May-October as it is sunburn central.

Jumeirah Scarer - can cause discomfort in the groin area!

Double tubes are better as the single ones usually spin round and you end up doing the rides backwards - even more scary!
