RAK is linked to the other emirates and beyond by a modern network of highways.
The newly constructed 'Emirates Road (E311 Highway)' traverses the emirates of Umm Al Quwain, Ajman (60 km) and Sharjah (71 km) to finally end up in Dubai (87 km). The new highway allows journeys from Ras Al Khaimah to Dubai in 45 minutes.

Getting to RAK from Dubai by the Emirates Road can take you about an hour... it all depends traffic in Dubai. From Sharjah is about 40 minutes of wonderful dessertic views and no traffic problems at all! Enjoy driving... leave Dubai.

You will see local & traditional goats crossing major RAK streets!! (I would say that this is an experience!!).
The goats even eat the flowers from the new greenish areas & roundabouts!!!
