Pars Iranian Restaurant in Mall of Emirates: Jumeirah: Good Persian Eats!

by Hexepatty

The Food Court at the Mall of the Emirates, as you would expect, isn't merely TCBY and Nathans on the fly! It's sit down full service dining and lots of choices! Japanese, Mexican, Bistro style, etc. We chose Pars cuz I happen to enjoy Persian food. Pars did NOT disappoint. Despite the little upsell they did to our Mixed Plate for two (Chicken & Seafood, and the seafood was a $10.00 extra they didn't tell us about) we enjoyed the meal and the ambience considering it was a Food Court after all! The Mixed Plate combo for two people which included Chicken, Lamb and Seafood skewers, enough for two and then some, plus 3 different kinds of fragrant rices and nice warm pita-like bread. VERY good. Great service too!

Bastakiah Nights: Feast of the Senses - Dubai

by svbuchanan

Splurge! I'm not kidding... There are few expensive restaurants I think are worth the prices you pay. I am a food snob, an excellent cook, and skeptic when it comes to fine dining. Too often the prices are sky-high, the tastes are bland or mellowed into the ground for fear of offending someone's tastes, and money pours out of your pockets for an atmosphere with people so up-tight you're afraid to have a good time! Ok, now throw everything negative I just said about most upscale restaurants and goooooo to Bastakiah Nights for a feast of the senses. It's timeless, elegant, sophisticated, ancient, sensual, intimate, opulent, and so much more. The service was perfect, the food prepared with a perfect balance of tastes and artistry, and the portions were more than generous. In fact, they were so huge I couldn't finish a thing! I started with a sampler with my favorite Middle Eastern/Lebanese...

Hard Rock Cafe: Dubai Rocks

by Ike_2005

The food is average, but they play good music which is always a plus. Also, this is one of the few places that has a bar that isn't located in a hotel. My division took one of our shipmates (Chris) out for a farewell dinner on this particular occassion. It was too bad he departed from the Navy. He was an exceptional sailor on the road to success in the Navy. I ate the BBQ cheese burger. It was like a regular burger. They don't put enough BBQ sauce on it. You couldn't taste it at all. Besides that, I had no complaints.

Irish Village: A Taste of Ireland

by Ike_2005

The story I heard about the place is that they actually took pieces of Ireland, moved it to Dubai and reconstructed it exactly how it was in it's homeland. Anyway, it's a unique experience you wouldn't expect to see in this part of the world. The best thing I had there was the beef fillet. If you like steak and Guinness, then this is the place for you. It was one of the best steaks I had ever eaten. As a matter of fact, I went there three days in a row it was so good.

Marina Cafe: Cool Cafe

by ytk

Actually, I have not visited this place ! but its location is so beautiful I can't help sharing it with you. Located along the link from Abu Dhabi city to Marina Mall off Lulu Island, it is by the seaside with very beautiful view of the coast line of the city. A perfect place for a short break of coffee, tea and a perfect romantic place for couple. Of course, I mean during the winter and not during the summer ! The view itself is 'word-less'
