The Pink Sand Beaches
Our newly met friends spent one day with us as we visited St. George's, Tobacco Bay, the Bermuda Perfumery, and had lunch at the Swizzle Inn. To finish the day ashore, they suggested we take a bus to reach the area known for its beautiful beaches and walk the cliff path.
Departing the bus at Warwick Long Bay Beach in the south of Warwick parish, we walked from there past Jobson's Cove, Chaplin Bay and down to the famous Horseshoe Bay Beach, the most popular in Bermuda. The beauty of these beaches is breathtaking --- jagged, rugged rocks; fine pink sand; secluded coves; and azure blue water!! The walk took less than an hour finishing at the spectacular Horseshoe Bay Beach -- a splendid crescent of wide, flat beach with pink sand that seemed to go on forever. It would truly have been a magnificent sight had the sun made an appearance. Wouldn't you know it -- a quick rain shower ruined most of the opportunity I had for any good photos!
Most beaches were purely natural with no public facilities; however, there was one rudimentary privy on the path. Horseshoe Bay beach did have a cafe, and some public facilities at one end.
From this point we made the steep walk back up to a main road where we had to wait quite a while for a bus going back to the Royal Naval Dockyard. Thanks to our new friends, we saw a part of Bermuda that we most probably would not have seen without them!

Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity (Bermuda)
The Bermuda Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, is the seat (main church) of the Anglican Church of Bermuda.
The Cathedral is known not only for its religious, historical, and social importance, but also for its beautiful Neo-Gothic architecture. This architectural style is characterized by stained-glass windows and soaring arches. The hilltop location means that I have never visited it, although the steeple towers over the city of Hamilton
". The reredos features a striking central figure of the Lord flanked by 14 saints, and the pulpit is a replica of the one in St. Giles, Edinburgh, Scotland."
We saw this from a distance but did not visit it on any of our three trips to Bermuda
Location: Church Street, Hamilton
