Fishing, if that's what you enjoy doing! There are many many great places for fishing. Bermuda is a paradise for people who love golfing, fishing, scuba diving, and all sorts of activities related to the sea. You can even hire a boat, go deep sea fishing. This is a place near the Astwood park. We rode our little scooters with our fishing gear (the wire, hooks and the bait. that's it.) to the park. You walk about 5 mins, then you can see the ocean. We climbed down the rocks, chose a spot and started fishing.

The Crystal Caves. It is a set of caves that has very clear and deep pools of water. One cave had a small statue (3-8' high) and you could see it looking down 100' into the water. Very quick to see, but worth it.

Located in St. George's is The Bermuda Pottery. It is a small establishment right on the street that leads to the point where cruise ships dock. The owner/artist is Abby and she is easy to talk to. Her work is excellent and she is most appreciative of your stopping by. She has a beautiful selection of handcrafted pottery (dishes, vases, napkin rings, ornaments, etc.) and will ship your purchases home for you if you choose not to carry them.

At Dockyard, it was almost desert (in January), but it was beautiful. We visited the commercial center, the bakerie where they make the rumcake. There, we could taste it, but I did dare buy one! Once again, the glassblowing representation was closed for renovation.

THE SMALLEST BRIDGE : We went to Dockyard. On the road, the taxi driver explained to us that we were passing on the smallest bridge in the world. 18 inches! And it is levant! Just enough to let the poles of the sailing boats pass through…

Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. You can see the whole Island from the top.A MUST TO DO! Ride a motorbike. The island is only 14 miles long, and not very wide. Take a leisurely bike ride, stop for lunch, or pack a box lunch from your hotel, pack a swimsuit etc. and have fun!

Visit the homes in Bermuda!Bermuda houses are hurricane proof ! They are built out of reinforced concrete block, with incredible foundations. In the old days the houses were built with Bermuda Stone. The coral slate roof tops are very sturdy. All houses in Bermuda have a white roof top coated with limestone which helps to keep the water in the tanks below the house pure! Oh yes, the natural properties of the limestone purify the water. Most homes are painted a nice soft pastel color. The house above is located on South Shore, Warwick.

A Coronado Flying Boat

by Simonneeddy

This was our first CORONADO received from the Americain Goverment and Navy. It still has the U.S.A. markings on it. It is the one I took the pictures of Darrel's island from in flight. These were used for transport only not combat etc.

Press before you walk

by aircoop

If you are at a crosswalk without a traffic light, all you have to do is stand in the crosswalk and all traffic stops. If you are at a traffic light, just press the button and take a picture. :)

Look what I found

I decided to live dangerously and actually rode a moped. While cruising around, I discovered this wonderful garden and stopped to take pictures.
