Silver Spoon (Victoria St,...

by Seabiscuit

Silver Spoon (Victoria St, Hamilton at Burnaby Street) Best burgers in the Atlantic. Granted, there's no McDonalds, no Burger King, no fast food at all, Silver Spoon more than makes up for the loss. Most probably the best priced food on the Island. (Tourists will have a hard time finding this gem, but if you walk 4 blocks up from Front Street, you'll find it). This venue is now gone. "Lumpy" (the owner of said joint) has moved to Florida. Bermuda's loss.Palmetto Bay Hotel ('cept it sank into Harrington Sound a few years ago) NEVER order anything that looks back at you. It's called 'Bermudian Fish Chowder', and if it's made right, you get peepers and all....Unique Qualities: If you *really* wanna hurl, the Shelly Bay 4-Star Pizza is right up your alley.

4 Ways: Top Notch

by beachbino

This restaurant was one of the best I have ever eaten at. It was reccomended to me by a friend. I eat out a lot and the food was awesome! The service was polished. There was soft piano music playing in the background. Bring your credit card, you will need it, but it is well worth it. The lamb was melt in your mouth.

The Swizzle Inn Pub & Restaurant-Bailey's Bay: A world-famous pub you must see & experience

by TheTravelSlut

Swizzle Inn Pub & Restaurant-Bailey’s Bay (North Shore)This is Bermuda’s oldest pub & restaurant sold its 1st rum swizzle drink in 1932 according to local lore. There is live entertainment during the summer months, a gift shop on premise and an outdoor patio and verandah for dining and drinking. The pub has a "casual fun"-- with a sports bar atmosphere-- plus some incredible wall and ceiling, floor and table graffiti with parts of the ceiling are adorned with business cards from all over the world (including mine now also). The pub is open daily from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. with food available to 10 p.m. The Swizzle Inn serves everything from traditional English dishes like meat pies to fresh seafood entrees and standard pub-sportsbar appetizers. Sample prices include a Swizzle Burger @ $10.75 U.S. , English Fish & Chips $14.75 and Bermuda Fish Chowder $4.95 The nachos (both chili & vegetarian)...

The Sea Horse: Elbow Beach Resort-Sea Horse

by DG4ever

We decided to get the Battle of the Chefs meal for about $105 per person. This included a six course meal with matched wines. You could also go without wine for $60 per person. It was so divine. The wines were perfectly matched and very high quality. We all thought this was the best dining experience we had ever had. The filet mignon was so good and I hate meat normally.

Somerset Squire Country Pub & Restaurant: Great fish and chips!

by mpileggi

Nice quiet outdoor terrace (and inside dining too) with a bar and view of the water. Umbrellas are on the terrace. The place had a few other customers, but overall, it was a nice quiet place to have lunch and relax. I think Somerset Village is a place most people don’t visit based on the number of tourists I saw. Tony and I had the fish and chips, which were very good and probably the cheapest on the island ($12.50). Maureen had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and Mike had a fish sandwich, all good.

The Carriage House Restaurant: Go for the food and ambiance

by easterntrekker

The Carriage House Restaurant is located in an 18th century vaulted brick building in historic St. George’s, with a garden patio overlooking the harbour. The table service is elegant and friendly at the same time. We went only for lunch but I'm sure dinner would be wonderful!! The chowder is wonderful and would rate up there with the best on the island ( and we tried many and the chowder tasteing contest!!

The Pirates Landing Restaurant: A place to eat at Dockyard

by easterntrekker

This is a good spot to stop for lunch and dinner . The surroundings are colorful and cheery...with hot pink tables and chairs. Enjoy scenic views of the Great Sound in the Royal Naval Dockyard while dining outdoors on the terrace...no reservation necessary!!We loved it here, really friendly spot . The place was hopping on Tues night when we were there for the Dockyards Night!! It was the busiest spot!! I had the chicken teriyaki wrap and it was great!!

Pickled Onion Restaurant: Pickled Onion - a lively eatery and Bar

by easterntrekker

We really enjoyed this spot . It had a relaxing atmosphere with lots of visitors and locals alike. It's an upscale but casual restaurant, bar and nightspot, with good sized servings at reasonable prices. The view is wonderful from the outside deck too!!They have entertainment most nights....( not when we were there though) I had the jambalaya and it was wonderful and the wine was a good price.

Port of Call Restaurant: Tables on front street

by easterntrekker

We had our anniversary dinner here . The food was just so so....I had rock fish and it was overdone and kind of salty. If you go, I would suggest eating indoors. The outdoor tables are right on the side walk...not much ambiance!!On the plus side , the service was good and friendly. My husband had the seafood platter.. that was a pretty good choice...nice shrimp.

The Lobster Pot: THe Lobster Pot

by easterntrekker

If you are looking for some good fresh seafood , you can't go wrong with the lobster pot . The only drawback is it doesn't have a ocean view , whioch is always so nice in Bermuda but it has a nice decor and a friendly staff. They offer a choice of several different preparations of fresh rockfish that is hard to beat....good value for Bermuda at $27.00. The Lobster Thermidor looked great!!Make sure you call ahead for a reservation...it's popular.
