OK, I'll admit up front...we love botanical gardens. On our travels throughout the world, we'll generally find our way to the local garden spots.

The Bermuda Botanical gardens are pleasant and relaxing. Uncrowded and filled with a nice variety of native and non-native plant species, it's a good way for nature lovers to spend a few hours. We actually visited on a Sunday, which was a doubled-edged sword. The good side was that almost NOBODY was there... we walked, relaxed and engaged in my daughter's favorite botanical garden activity...the butterflies! But, on a Sunday, the offices, gift shops and indoor facilities (greenhouses) are closed.

On weekdays, I understand that there are free guided tours at 10:30 am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Admission to the gardens on all days is free, and they're open from sunrise to sunset.
