St Peter's Church
Located in St George's, St Peter’s Church is believed to be the oldest continually used Anglican church in the Western hemisphere. The originally built in 1612 from Bermuda cedar , just three years after a British vessel, bound for Jamestown, Virginia, washed onto Bermuda’s reefs during a storm. The crew and passengers, became the first inhabitants of Bermuda.Close to the back entrance of the church you can also find a 500-year old cedar tree; its branches once bore the church’s bell.
